Alexandra's POV
It put me at ease, to be sitting across from someone who went through the same thing. It gave me a sense of hope, that no matter how much she suffered with an ass like Calum, she got who she really deserved. A guy as amazing and nice as Ashton. A lot of things went through my head; like how long she was with him, and how violent he was with her. If he was worse with me, or if he ever eased up on her.
I also wanted to find out how many other girls he had done this to before us, but I knew she didn't have that kind of answer. I'd have to ask him.
My mind wandered through what I could do to make this easier on myself. Maybe I could try to get him to fall in love with me, because at least that way he would be nicer. Well, hopefully. I was snapped out of it by a voice breaking through, "Lexie are you not hungry?" Ashton asked worriedly making me shake my head.
"You feel sick?" Calum asks more to myself than anyone. "Do you want me to take you home? I can get some soup here and bring it with us?" Rosie asked sympathetically, which made me think that I knew close to nothing about her. I shook my head again, smiling at her as a way of saying thank you.
"I'll take you home. No girlfriend of mine walks home" Calum shows a toothy grin which makes Ashton smile. "Marry that boy" He chuckles, wiggling his eyebrows at us both. I shake my head, walking away to the door and beginning my journey home.
I listened as my feet hit the pavement with every step I took. The only other sounds that could be heard were people out on evening walks or drives, hurrying past with no cares in the world. Only if life was that simple.
"Hey wait up" Calums voice shouted from behind me before I was aware of his presence beside me. He tried to make small conversation, which I ignored and quickened my pace away from him. "I'm fucking talking to you" He hisses, slamming me into the wall of a building. I just stand dead as ever, staring straight over his shoulder. I honestly was just done with everything about him, I wanted nothing to do with him from the day I met him, my parent's funeral.
You see, my parents were killed in a hit and run accident. They went out for dinner, and while driving home someone hit them from the side, causing my dad to lose control, and flipping the car over. They died instantly, the wreck of the car crushing them to death. But the worst thing was whoever the other driver was, saw but didn't help them. Didn't check if they were ok, didn't call the cops, an ambulance, nothing. Just left them there to die, and took off.
No evidence was left behind, and they never caught the killer. But the day of the funeral, I was crying my eyes out as I watched the coffins being lowered into the ground. Calum, who I didn't know at the time was Ashton's friend back then, and comforted me the whole time. He took me home, made sure I was ok and then hung around for a while. I remember telling him that I was grateful for everything he had done, and that I would love to get to know him better.
That's when he snapped, he told me to shut up, and to get a life. That he never wanted to get close to me, and in his words 'I only wanted to tell you I was sorry for your fucking parents dying. Nothing else' and then he left. I had already cried so much, that I had no tears left to even cry over him. I admit, I thought he was super attractive then, and maybe we had a chance but he clearly had no interest. Now I was unsure of what he wanted, or why he hurts me more than I already am.
His hands gripped my waist, pressing me to the wall using his muscular body. He was breathing heavily against my face, as his eyes scanned my features. I just stared at his clenched jaw, waiting for whatever was to come. He reached his hand up to my cheek, so I decided to just kick my plan into action.
I leaned forward, and pressed my lips passionately against his, well as much passion as you can give to a guy you hate. He flinched, and froze as I moved my lips against his. His hands dropped from my body, as he just stood there, as I moved my hands to his waist, pulling him closer. He pushed me off, shaking his head vigorously. "N-no we can't" He growls, and takes off running away from me. I smirk, knowing this was the way it needed to happen.
I dusted myself off, and began walking again, the street I live in coming into sight. I could see Rosies car pulled up outside, and the lights were all on inside. I smiled, jogging the rest of the distance to the front door, throwing it open so it hit the wall. Slamming it shut, I run forward into the living room to see them cuddled on the couch watching movies.
"Hi" I chirp, throwing myself in between them, causing them to break apart in a huff.
"You feel better?" Ashton cocks his eyebrow up making me nod.
"Much better" I reply, trying to take the smile off of my face. "Did you kiss or something?" He chuckles making me blush, shrugging my shoulders. "Something like that I guess" I laugh, throwing an arm around each of them.
***************
"Thank god that's over" I yawned, rubbing my eyes and getting off of them. I stretched quickly, making the most inhumane noises ever known to man, making us all laugh. "Are you staying over?" I ask Rosie and she shakes her head. "I don't want to cause any trouble" She giggles, as Ashton whispers in her ear.
"Ok, well love birds, sorry for splitting you up but Rosie is sleeping in my room so we can talk. Night Ash" I laugh, pulling her arm to get her off of the couch. Ashton just lets out a groan as I pull her out of the room and upstairs to my bedroom.
"You can wear some of my pyjamas, and I'll sleep on the floor but thanks for tonight" I smiled over at her as she took a seat on my bed. She just shrugs and sits back more, letting out a glad sigh.
"I've never been so happy since Calum. I'm glad I met Ashton, and I owe it to you" She laughs nervously and I brush her off with my hand. "So Calum kissed you huh?" She teases, making me roll my eyes playfully.
"Nope, I kissed him" I challenged her, as her eyes widened. "Why?" She gasps, running a hand down her face. "Oh I didn't want to, but I've never seen him run so fast" I burst out laughing as she does too. "That's my girl" She says in between laughs, as we both collapse backwards, our heads hitting the pillows.
