I Was Pregnant Yesterday

Chapter 3: What nose?

After Zack and what's her name again? Ooh Ms I'm not fat lady but pregnant lady left,I decided to call my mom and check my emails.
According to the nurse I've been here for the past two days and was heavily sedated for the pain and surgery.
"Mr Hart insisted on your stay here." Nurse Betty once told me when she was doing her rounds and checking up on me.
"Would've been better if he insisted on paying for my stay here" I muttered under my breath, clearly Betty never heard me or she either chose to ignore me because she carried on scribbling away at her document without a word while checking the drips and heart monitors.
Mom was relieved that I was fine, when I called but insisted on coming to see me anyway tomorrow.Which at first she didn't agree to wanting to come see me right away but I managed to tell a little lie and it occurred to me I seem to be doing a lot of that lately the cat story with the doctor,allowing Ms fat well not fat but pregnant to call me by my first name and saying I was okay with it lastly lying to my mom now I feel horrible.

I called Derek and Paul at work and told them about the incident they were shocked and insisted they too come see me which will of course be tomorrow afternoon.And to take my time off at work till I was better.

To say Charlie was shocked or scared was an understatement it was like she was the one lying on a hospital bed having hospital food and a messed up nose with no way of knowing how to pay the bill.
After an hour of FaceTime with my best friend I decided to freshen up.
Betty wanted to help me clean up after I kindly refused a thousand times she backed off I mean I'm not sick I just have a messed up nose and it's not like I use it for bathing my self.

Gabriel my next door flat mate was kind enough to offer to pack me an overnight bag thou she was yet to bring it after her shift at the bar she worked at.

As I stared at the bathroom I was in it was the size of my kitchen at my apartment with a sink bowl, a bathtub,toilet and a shower stall, the blue and white tiled floors and walls with the sparkles were nice to the eye.

As I stared at my own reflection in the mirror I suddenly wished to break it but I knew better.

My face was swollen,parts of it was covered in purple and blue marks as If I've been bitten,my curls were all over the place and my lips were dry and chapped.
I looked like a zombie,hurriedly I wiped my face with the fresh towel I was told I could use by Betty,rinsed my mouth, combed through my hair with my fingers that were free of manicure and waited for Gabriel as I read through my other emails.

The hours went by a blur and Gabriel still hasn't showed up.
How convenient I think to myself sarcastically just as I was about to pick up my phone she burst through the doors with a blue sports bag that didn't belong to me did she bring me her clothes Ooh hell no! I was curvier than her with sufficient breasts that matched my frame and my 5'1 height was fine with me.
She was rather a very slim,blonde girl with grey eyes with little to no breasts and a 'I don't care what I look like attitude and what I'm wearing ' so no way I'm ever gonna be wearing her clothes.
"Hey Ammy " besides Charlie she's the only other person that calls me by that name.
"Hi Gabby" I know she hates it when she's called by that, funny story is her stepdad came up with it on her 16th birthday where she claims was the worst day of her life,well I've seen worst I think to myself.
"I won't hesitate breaking your nose"
"What nose? Ooh you mean this already broken nose of mine what is it with you people and my nose" I said,immediately we burst out laughing for a good 5minutes.

"Did you bring IT?" I asked emphasizing it.
"Of course." She smiled looking up from her phone that had suddenly beeped with a text,let me lock the door,with a wicked smile she went.
