Chapter 6: You two know each other?

Once Mr Hart and Henley left,Dr Edward looked at me and began,

"I've got good news for you tomorrow you're good to go.Your nose is healing faster than expected and you're responding quite well to the treatment I've got no reason to keep you here,but I'll have to prescribe some pills for pain,and antibiotics we wouldn't want to get any infections now would we? The pills you will get at the pharmacy"

"Thank you,Doctor I'm really excited to leave this place now" I breathed a sigh of relief. After the last check ups he made his way to the door.

After Mr Edward had left,I checked my emails replied some and made phone calls one to Charlie,mom and Paul.After supper I got a call from Gabriel checking up on me,telling her the news of being discharged she offered to pick me up in the morning.
After showering I towel dried my hair and took the only pair of pajamas Gabriel brought me and I brushed my teeth.

Edward was right my nose was healing quite well more than I expected actually.
I went to bed.
After struggling to find a comfortable position on the very limited space I opted to just lay on my back and watch the ceiling,it was an hour before I drifted off to sleep.

Waking up the rain was in full swing and the thunder was booming in full force.
"Sharks" I muttered under my breath.
Making my way to the bathroom I did my quick business of showering,brushing my teeth,tying a quick easy braid and applying lip balm,I wore a red dress with black boots.Great Gabriel didn't pack me a jacket. I know my chosen outfit of the day is not matching the weather but there was nothing else better to wear other than a pair of shorts,a skirt,two dresses and other short,classy cocktail party dresses mom had bought for me.

Checking my phone there were no new notifications.
My breakfast was set aside on the table.
Grabbing a bite of my breakfast of brown toast,scrabbled eggs and tomato slices I dialed Gabby.

"Where you at?" I asked after she picked up on the first ring.

"I'm so sorry love,I'm going to call you a cab I'm covering two shifts."

"Pass me that bottle...No Garry...the blue one...on your left" she spoke on the background.

"No worries,I'm going to call one myself don't break a leg over there" I said having a sip on my breakfast punch.
After I ended the call and finished my breakfast,I packed all my belongings and waited for Edward to do his rounds.
He came fifteen minutes later with papers for me to sign and prescription I needed to buy.

After a billion instructions and changing my bandage, he let me ask questions and when there were none he ended saying
"If there's a slight discomfort don't hesitate to call or come see me."
"Thanks." I said Making my way to the reception to finalize my payment, a young looking man said my billed has been settled by a 'Mr Hart' early this morning.
That prick,I specifically told him not too.
After asking John to check again and again he was certain that the bill had been paid,thanking John as his tag recited,
I went to the cab already waiting for me outside.The rain was pouring heavily and I needed mom's stew I thought to myself.
After I gave the driver my parent's house address I let myself enjoy the warmth of the leather seats as I watched the passing buildings fade.My family owned an estate in the country and a few other properties that my mom oversees are taken care off.And I still call it my parents place even if my dad is no more.

"Mom I'm home..." I said as I dropped my bag to the floor and searched around the house first the kitchen,lounge,dining area and then it hit me she must be in dads study or her painting room.

I first checked her painting room.Nothing.
Then I heard a very familiar male voice,on the other door of dads study.
"It's nice to do business with you,Mrs Brown" the male voice said.

"She's here,you have to meet my daughter." mom replied.
How did she know I was here?

"For the record I was not eavesdropping."
I said pushing open the door.

Stopping dead in my tracks I looked at the man standing before me.
HIM.

"You...." I said accusingly,pointing a finger,which I immediately withdrew as I remembered my nails were not done.
I quickly hid my hand behind my back.

"You two know each other?" Mom asked.

"Do we now?" He asked in a slow seductive voice,smirking at me.

Those emerald eyes of his staring at my soul.He'll be the death of me.I thought as I felt all my anger evaporating quickly as it came.
