~(Y/n)'s POV~

"Foxwood Preparatory School. The school where everyone is friends with everyone. Everybody has good grades, a school where nothing bad ever happens, as advertised on TV." Tessa recited the commercial the school put out, as we were walking to school.

"So that was a fucking lie." I sighed, shoving my hands in my pockets.

"Oh come on, it's not that bad."

I stared at her, before we both started smiling and broke down laughing.

"Man, this school sucks." Tessa said, wiping her eyes.

"That's for sure. One last year in this hell hole and we're free."

Tessa Wright. She's my best, and only, friend. I've known her since I was only two. Despite the fact she's a nerd like me, she is far from ugly. She has greenish-blue dyed hair, blueish-purple eyes, and always wears the same hoodie with cat ears. Oh, and she has glasses. Honestly, I have no idea why she sticks around with me. If it weren't for me, she could be popular, have a boyfriend, and probably be way better off.

"So, anime at your house tonight?"

"You know it."

"And we have arrived." Tessa said, pushing her glasses back up her nose. "You ready?"

"Absolutely not. But I have no choice." I walked through the front doors, immediately wishing I stayed home.

All around me are kids that are either at their lockers, surrounding Julie Ward, the most popular girl in school, mostly with the guys, or kids are being bullied. Yep. This is Foxwood Prep. The fun, friendly school where everyone is friends with everyone.

"I have to head to class (Y/n), but I'll see you in second period!" Tessa yelled, waving to me before running off.

I started walking to class, trying my best to keep my head low. "Well look who it is, the schools ugliest kid of Foxwood Prep, in the flesh." It never works.

"What do you want James?" I coldly asked, rather annoyed. James Martins. He's the biggest bully in school.

"I'm hurt, (Y/n), I really am. You don't have to be so mean to your best friend James."

"Whatever James, I need to get to class." I said, trying to walk away.

"Hold on (Y/n), where are you going, we just started our little chat." James said, before grabbing me by my hood and yanking me back. "Let's find a place a little more private to talk." James swung open a locker door and threw me into it.

"Come on James, this isn't funny. I have to get to class, just let me out."No response. I started banging on the door, hoping someone would hear me and let me out.

After a few minutes of banging, the door finally opened.

"Mr. (L/n), what did we say about making Mr. Martins upset?" Principle Goodwin asked

"Yeah, yeah. If I make him upset, I can only expect this to happen." I muttered, starting to walk away.

"Don't walk away from me Mr. (L/n). Unless you want a detention?"

I rolled my eyes, and walked back towards him.

"Mr. (L/n), you need to stop upsetting Mr. Martins. It always leads to the same outcome. Something happening to you."

"Yeah, I know. Can I go now? I don't want to be late to class." I asked 'What a shitty excuse for a Principle.' I thought

"Yes, you can go. I better not see you in a locker again. If I do, it's a detention for you Mr. (L/n)."
