~(Y/n)'s POV~
It's been a week since the night of the study group. I've been playing the game Evelyn got, and while it's good, it's leaving me tired in the morning.
I yawned. "I gotta stop going to bed so late..."
Then, a hand grabbed my arm, and pulled me into a classroom.
"Julie, hello again. Is it already time for our daily appointment?"
"Oh, shut up. I told you already, just tell me what I want to know, and this can be over. We can be on our separate ways and never speak to each other again."
"Yes, yes, I know. But like I keep telling you: I don't care to tell you." I was getting pretty annoyed. I walked past her. "Let's make this the last of our meetings, yeah?"
"Come back here!" Julie yelled.
"No, no I don't think I will." I gave her a mocking smile, and left the classroom.
"Oh, (Y/n)! I was just looking for you." It was April.
"What's up April?"
"I just wanted to thank you again for helping me understand that homework. It really helped me get a good grade on that quiz yesterday."
"Oh, don't worry about it. I'm just glad I was able to help."
"Well, as thanks, I wanna buy you lunch today. We're allowed to leave to go get lunch from somewhere, right?"
"I believe so, but you really don't have to do that." I kinda felt embarrassed.
"I insist. Plus, I haven't seen you eat lunch in a full week."
"Seriously, it's fi-"
"You don't have a choice. I'm making sure you eat lunch and I'm paying for it. End of story."
"April, it's really f-"
"End. Of. Story." Her voice was strong. She didn't waver at all.
I sighed. "Fine, obviously I can't change your mind."
"Great! Where do y-"
"However! I'm getting something that is less than five dollars."
"What? Why? You can get whatever you want, it's fine, I promise."
"You've already done a lot for me April. I'd start to feel bad if you did more for me without me returning the favor." I explained to her. "In fact, I already have a plan to repay you."
"Really? What is it?"
"I'm not saying." I stopped in my tracks, and quickly spun around.
"(Y/n)? What's wrong?" April questioned.
"Sorry...it just felt like someone was...watching me." I look around the hallway, but there's nobody to be found. "Guess it was just my imagination. Let's go."
~Time Skip~
It was second period, which is my History class with Evelyn. She was wearing the cat ears I got her.
"Sorry Evelyn, but I won't be in lunch today."
"R-Really? T-That's too bad..." She sounded disheartened, casting her gaze away from me.
"I've been playing that game you got me. I really like it."
Her face grew red, but she still refused to look back at me.
"I'm glad to see that you're wearing the ears that I got you."
Her face grew even more red, and she turned her back to me. I could see the tip of her ears through her hair, and they were red.
