"Congratulations, Drizzy. You're officially that nigga!" Trey whooped as he roughly placed his hands on Drake's shoulders and shook him back and forth excitedly. Drake was nearly speechless as he continuously refreshed his Instagram page and watched his Instagram followers spike up by 100 followers a minute. The love and support had been overflowing that past week ever since Trey's label had finally given them the green light to put out Successful.
Between Trey's fanbase, the blogs and everyone else at school the feedback had been relatively positive. It had been nearly 6 months since Trey had put out solo music aside from his last EP, his fans were feening for something new from their favorite artist and he had finally given it to them. Drake had to give it to his fans, they knew exactly what to say to get the ball rolling.
TreySzn: @TreySongz You can be boo'd up with Thotiana Harvey 24/7 but not make time for the Stu??? 🤔🤦🏽♀️ Niggas 🙄
TremainesAngels_: Don't forget we keep your lights on Mr. Trigga Trey! Drop some new shit!!!! 🤬
His Instagram comments and Twitter mentions were enough to make Drake want to drop music for him. They played no games when it came to Trey but Drake could fairly respect it. Luckily enough for him, they'd been loving the song so far as well as his part.
"Yo, this is so crazy like I really can't thank you enough. You put a nigga on, man." Drake dapped Trey up with a grin before placing his phone back on the table. He was on Cloud 9.
"Ah c'mon, Drizzy. You thought of that hook straight off the dome without even realizing it. You did ya thing man. I gotta respect it," Trey shrugged. Drake could hear the alcohol slosh against the ice in his red solo cup as he took it to the head, it was Friday and they deserved this downtime after all the tweaking and perfecting they'd done.
"Aye, did you see all them bitches in your DMs, my nigga?" Trey shot me an amused look as he made his way around the luxurious basement and opened up a drawer.
Bitches. That word never sat well with him. "I, uh, yeah. I peeped." Drake chuckled while leaning back into the plush couch. He wasn't quite certain if Nicki had told Trey that they were together now or not but in his mind it looked clear as day. I'm always around, how hasn't he figured it out yet? Drake thought to himself.
"See any you might wanna link up with?" Trey raised his eyebrow at Drake with a sly smirk.
"Well, actually I'm—" Trey put his hands up before reaching in his back pocket and leveling his lighter with the blunt between his lips.
"Tryna stay single? I hear you, bro," His words came out muffled as he took a pull. "Doesn't mean you can't fuck around and have some fun though. Shit, I know you and my sister are like best friends but don't let that get in the way of you enjoying life. Don't let nothing get in the way of enjoying this." Trey motioned to their surroundings with a laugh.
