"Rise and shine baby boy! Let's get this bread!" My father joyfully boomed, pulling my dark curtains back to let the morning sunlight pour into my room. I groaned as I grabbed a nearby pillow and smothered it over my head, my dad was impossibly aggravating almost 90% of the time.

"Alexa play Smile Bitch by Lil Duval."

"Ok! Ok! I'm up." I yelled over the loudspeaker. Only in my house. Throwing the covers off my body and storming out of my room, I made a bee-line for the bathroom to get my morning routine started. Despite being obnoxiously wakened by my dad, I still had woke up on the good side of the bed knowing that today was the day that my life changes forever.
After Nicki and I's agreement last night we planned everything accordingly.

Which reminded me that she had also mentioned that she'd give me a ride to school today. I was stunned because any other time she'd be embarrassed to even be seen breathing in the same perimeter as me. But after last night I felt like things became different between us, as if she finally understands me. Sees me.

"Aubrey, dear! A young lady is here waiting for you. Don't keep her waiting!" My mother's sweet voice called out from the other side of the door.

"Dennis turn that damned music down!" I faintly heard as she disappeared down the hallway.

Shit! Nicki was 15 minutes earlier than I expected and I definitely didn't anticipate her meeting my parents this way. I cut the shower water and wrapped a blue towel loosely around my waist, soon realizing that I hadn't brought my clothes into the bathroom with me. How convenient.

Slowly opening the bathroom door and peeking my head down the hallway while looking both ways, I heard Nicki's giggles and my mom's coos as I subtly tried to walk past the living room without being spotted. "Aw look at how widdle he was." Nicki gushed over a framed picture of what I assumed to be me.

"Do you see those ears? He definitely didn't get those from me." Sandi heartily laughed as she handed Nicki yet another picture. Can this get any worse?

Re-emerging into the living room fully dressed with my backpack slung over one shoulder, I stopped in my tracks as I took in Nicki's appearance.

Her body was adorned in a pink strapless bandeau top that did her chest justice, ripped booty shorts that barely covered her mid-thighs and clung to her every bump and curve, various icy jewelry and some clean retro Jordan's. She tucked a piece of her silky long inches behind her ear as she shifted under my gaze.

"Hey Brey, you ready to roll?" She smiled lightly.

Nicknames already? I could get used to this.
