Chapter 4: An Attack?!

"THERE'S A KAGARE ATTACK AT THE NORTHERN REGION OF NARUKAMI!" Grandpa hurriedly warned us, making us stand shocked. We all knew this was coming... "Let's hurry and gear up. We'll split up, i'll take Atsushi and Shinnosuke as attack, and Haruka as defence" Ryogo implied. "I'll lead the second team, i'll take Adashino Benio, and Enmadou as Attack while Mayura be the defence." Shimon replied. They both nodded and off we go to fetch our gear. We then hurried to the car and went strait at the danger zone.

At magano we found millions of kagare just waiting for us to battle them. "Mayura, you stay behind me." Shimon ordered giving me a serious look. Without hesitating, i nodded back. He then gave me a pack of his talisments. "These are..." I looked at him surprised, did he prepare this himself? "I need you to be careful, i dont want to see you hurt again." He smiled faintly. I nodded with determination filled in my eyes. "Yes si-"

...Bang...

The floor shattered as we were flung up to the sky of magano. A kagare suddenly emerged from the ground below us, Ryogo and the others faced the enormous monster. I began to fall, so i picked up my defence talisman. 'Atleast this wont hurt that much.' I thought to myself. Shimon saw me summoning, so he then followed by summoning suzaku's wings and caught me falling with a princess hold. "Let's catch up to them while there's still time." Shimon said facing to me. "Yes sir!" I jumped out of his arms and started chanting the spell to summon Byako's claws.

Flashback

"Mayura..." Dad called knocking on my door. I was just finished packing all my talesmants and got nothing to do left, the others are still gearing up though... "Yeah Dad? Come in." I replied. He opened the door looking at me in awe. "You have grown just like your mother, Mayura." He said complimenting breaking the silence between us, I politely smiled in reply.  "But, you still have my blood flowing within your veins as well." He smiled at me inviting me to sit down. "You know that the seat of "Byako" has alredy been unoccupied for three years now, dont you?" He said glancing at me. "Yes i do, what about it Dad?" He picked up something from his pocket. "Iv'e been meaning to give this to you, but i wasn't sure when to give it to you. And i also needed your Mother's consent as well." He gave me a well wraped box, with a note attatched to it, saying "To Mayura, Happy Birthday. From Dad."
I opened the box with curiosity filled within my eyes. "I-its..." It's Dad's Byako Talesment! "You like it? I thought i was getting old and we needed someone to lead the clan, so who better than our clan's little prodigy." I hugged my Dad in appreciation. "Thanks for your trust in me Dad! I won't let you down!" I said embracing my father as i could feel how proud he must be, and how much expectation he has for me. "Mayura! Hurry up! We need to get a move on!" Rokuro called ruining our moment. "Shut up brat! I'm trying to have a Father-Daughter moment with my little girl!" Dad replied, making me giggle a little. "Off you go, and remember to be careful." Dad reminded me. "Yeah, thanks again Dad, Im off."

End of flashback

I need to do my best, and give it my all in this fight! "Byako! Come forth at once!" My arms were transformed into large claws. I dived into a fight with a kagare, and then another, and then another, every step i take... every slash i make, i can feel dad fighting alongside with me. I can see everyone fighting for their lives, and for others as well. Rokuro, Adashino-san, Shimon... everyone was fighting alongside together. I see another exorcist hurt, and came to rescue him. Roar!
