I had gone to work with a scarf and did my absolute best trying to cover up the still recovering marks. Throughout my appointments, my mind had wandered to what had happened a couple of days ago. The more I thought about it the more I was freaked out. I tried to come up with a logical explanation of why I had thought about Felix. Sure Felix was good looking and mysterious but I didn't think I had feelings for him. I convince myself that it's from all the extra time I've been spending with him and drop the matter for now.
As I was locking up for the day my phone buzzed, I pulled it out of my pocket and answered the phone.
"Uh hey?" My tone came out like a question and I mentally slapped my self.
"Hey, sorry if this is weird that I'm calling you-"
"No no. I mean it's okay, you can call me." I stuttered out, to be perfectly honest however, it was kind of weird. I didn't really like talking on the phone unless it was family or Mark. I was questioning why Felix would be even calling me, not that it was a big deal or that I minded. I hear Felix chuckle and could imagine his dorky smile, where his tongue peaked out a bit.
"Well I know that you're coming earlier than usual to The Center, so I was just calling to see if you wanted me to pick you up something? Whataburger, Mc.Donalds, Chick-fil-a or-"
"Wow, you're literally naming all of my favorites." I walk out of the building and to the parking lot.
"Oh yeah? That's funny." I get in my car and start it before putting him on speaker. The line goes silent for a moment before he clears his throat. "So, what do you want?"
"Honestly Felix that's really sweet of you but I'm fine and don't have cash on me-"
"Don't worry about it, my treat."
"Absolutely not Felix." I laugh at his tone, I had huge pride and rarely let anyone pay for my stuff. I could give him my card to get something but I had to stop home first.
"Why not?"
"I just don't want you to pay for me, Felix. I'll give you my card so you can get us both something but I need to stop by my house real quick"
"Brianna, don't be stubborn. I'm getting you something whether you like it or not."
"You don't even know what I want." I laughed as I started the drive to my house.
"Fine guess Ill just surprise you then. See you soon." He ends the call and I gape my mouth in shock. I shake my head and laugh at his childish yet sweet personality.
I made my way home and checked up on Max. I left a note for Mark telling him I'd be at The Center all night. I wasn't there for long since I had to be there in about an hour due to me and Felix having to do interviews today. I kissed Max goodbye and shortly made my way to The Center.
I walked into my office to see Felix waiting for me with food in his hands. He gave me a childish smile and handed me a bag from Mc. Donalds, I look inside it and smile.
"Wow. How'd you know I'd like chicken nuggets?"
"Lucky guess, hope you like Dr. Pepper." I grinned at my favorite soda and took a quick sip.
"Jesus Felix, it's like you're reading my mind! This is so sweet of you, I promise I'll pay you back-"
"Don't worry about it." I rolled my eyes and let it go for now. "How was work?" He looked at me with a friendly smile. I took in his appearance, he had a black shirt, showcasing his interesting tattoos. His hair was swept back into a black hat that matched the remainder of his outfit, he looked good in black. His blue eyes looked at me with curiosity and I shook my head and smiled.
