Chapter 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Doctor's POV
"Maybe I should try and go there?" The Doctor wondered aloud as he skimmed through the Harry Potter books, "after all, I don't have much else to do, the universe seems perfectly okay."
Of course, he knew things were not always as they seemed, but Hogwarts is interesting and he sure as Galifrey needed a vacation, so he thought for a few minutes, then decided.
"I should go. There's always something to do there and it's not like I wouldn't be able to get back if something were to go wrong back here. Okay, path set to the Leakey Couldron! Now if I just pull these, push those and... yes! We're off!"He hurried off into his wardrobe and pulled out what could pass as robes and checked how long until he arrived.
"5 minutes, okay. That's enough time to freshen up a little."
He changed into his clothes then walked to the bathroom and brushed and gelled his hair, brushed his teeth and cleaned his face, drying it off just as the Tardis whooshed and came to a somewhat dramatic halt and took a step out and walked into the strange little bar.
"Hello, sir."
"Hello there," I said cheerfully to the old, slightly hunched over bar keeper, "would you mind showing me how to get through to Diagon Alley?""Ah, not from around here, are we?" He chuckled
"No, I'm not, but I was invited to teach over at Hogwarts (A/N that's his cover story btw) so I came to get some supplies."
"M'Kay, come through here. Now, see, you tap this brick, then that one, then.. there you are, sir! The alley is just through there."I nodded in thanks towards him and stepped through, looking around wildly.
"First stop: robes. I think that's the shop over there, Madam Malkin's Robes For All Occasions.. oh, hello!"
"Hello, sir. What would you like today?"
"Um, I'd like 3 sets of standard robes, dark blue with sky-blue trimmings and buttons if you would, with 3 navy-blue undershirts and black trousers, please. Also a dark blue dress robe and a traveling cloak of the same colour if it isn't too much to ask.""Of course not, sir, I'll have them made immediately. They should be ready in 2 hours, so please come and pay for and collect them then." She replied with a kind smile.
"Thank you, I'll be there," I walked out and thought for a moment, "Gringotts next, after all I do need money. Wait, where am I gonna get money from? I don't have any money!" Then came a moment where I needed a companion to slap me. "Duh! Psychic paper, I'll just say I'm a rich guy from America or something."Once I was in the goblin bank, I walked up to the closest teller I could find and cleared my throat.
"Yes?" He.. Or she.. Or it.. I don't really know, I'm not very good with this stuff, scowled.
"I'd like to set up an account, please."
"Why? You should have had one since birth."
I replied simply.
"I'm from America, so I don't have one here in England, sir."He (or I'm assuming it was a he) nodded after a moment's contemplation.
"Right this way."
He led me to an office and knocked on the door, speaking a unique language I had never heard before and made note to learn with whoever was on the other side.
"Enter!" A commanding voice spoke.
I did so and sat down.
"Director Ragnook."
"I go by The Doctor."
"So, 'Doctor', you wish to open an account, correct? And that is because you where raised in another country?""Yes, sir," I nodded (something like that).
"And may I ask why you have come to England?"
"I was asked to teach astronomy at Hogwarts by Professor Dumbledore, sir." I didn't like calling him sir, but I knew that I should adress this particular race and a few others with respect.
"Do you have any proof?" I flipped open my psychic paper, though not entirely sure it would work, and showed it to him, "Very well, then. Let us begin.
Please fill in this sheet."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'm gonna leave this here because I've been writing for over an hour and I can't be bothered to for any longer, especially since it's 2 am and I'm tired as all hell.
