Hey there, fellow entities of this Earth. Fun fact: did you know that in one of his last episodes, Adric's actor, Matthew Waterhouse, was hung over on set and you could hear him throwing up in the background while the Doctor was talking?
(I'm thinking of adding these little facts and the start of each chapter. What do you guys think?)Doctor's POV
My lab work was interrupted by the Master bursting into the room, exclaiming his hatred of how annoying the children are being.
'The Master's Flashback'
"Sir, where's the Doctor?"
"I heard from a Ravenclaw that he was taken by Aurors because they think he's Barty Crouch Junior!" Exclaimed an eager second year Slytherin.
"No way! He has loads of enemies, one of them probably kidnapped him, like the Cybers or the Zygons," a Gryffindor countered. They kept gossiping away about the Doctor's whereabouts, until..
"SILENCE, ALL OF YOU!" I shouted, "The Doctor is fine, and take that from his roommate! What he's really doing is developing an incredibly important cure for a dangerous condition. If you insist on gossiping about it, I'll make sure you're scrubbing litter trays out for Hagrid every day for the rest of the month! Is that clear?" My voice lowered to a deadly quiet and, with no further thought, they all hurriedly agreed and the lesson continued as planned.'Master's Flashback End'
"Don't worry, you won't have to deal with them forever. I'm making giant leaps in this area, enough that I could publish my findings as an official scientific article. Maybe later we can have some sort of competition? I'm sure you'd love to be able to be active and competitive at the same time," I reassured him.
"Hmm, maybe. The offer intrigues me." He mocked, "Alright, we'll do it, then. How about we play cricket for an hour or two at noon? I heard you were good and I played a lot when I was becoming Prime Minister. I'm quite good, though I do say so myself."
"I'm a little rusty, but it sounds fun. It's a deal, I'll see you then." He nodded and left, closing the door behind him.
Much to the werewolf's surprise, every day I got closer and closer to my goal, to our goal, and bit by bit, the pieces of the puzzle were coming together.
I worked all through the day, working while eating when the need arose, and sooner than I thought, it was midnight.
"Whoops. Let's go back 12 hours with the TARDIS I guess." So I went back in time- as I often do- and realised that the students were probably gossiping so much their mouths are gonna fall off after I'd been gone so long.
Maybe I could make a public announcement of sorts?
Would that even be allowed?
I shrugged and got ready for the game. Whether or not I would change back.. well, it would as much as double my chances of winning and I very much wanted to do that.
Grumbling, I cast a rather special spell the Master had created one day when bored. What it did was rather simple: all it would do would be to change your appearance, but those you didn't want to show the form to couldn't see it.
I looked in the mirror and saw my 5th face staring back at me.
"Well, I say.. this does feel rather weird." I put a hand on my face and slowly I reverted back to old habits. Old preferences, old voice, old train of thought and allergies- which ment, unfortunately- more celery. Luckily I would keep my memories.Soon though, I realised I had wasted nearly 10 minutes and hastily pulled on my cricket outfit and grabbed the bat and ball I carried with me everywhere.
I got a few odd looks on my way up (how many times have you seen your teacher carrying a bat walking through the halls?), but ignored them and walked out to where I saw my friend and now opponent had set up the area.
