Sam laughs, tossing a rock into the air. He catches it and runs his thumb over the rock. It was cool and smooth. He hears the roof creak, then looks over. Y/N is standing on the roof, a box at your feet. Sam and you were best friends, and nothing more. You guys treated each other as siblings. Dean was just happy Sam could share a college friend that understood how frightening the life of a Hunter could be.
"I got more rocks, I also have beers and some random snacks from the house," You say and point to the box. You two were on the roof of your grandmother's house, not far from campus. Sam chuckles and walks towards you. "Beer, I like beer," he says, grabbing a bottle. He pops the cap, then takes a long sip. You copy his motions and grab a smooth throwing rock. You toss the rock as hard as you can towards the empty field in front of them. "That one is for my shitty exam grade!" You yell. Sam throws the rock he had in his hand earlier. "Mr. Universe! That is for Yale!" he screams. You toss another rock. "That is for all the geometry classes I had to take!" you yell, Sam's laughter erupting into the late night. "That is for how shitty Y/N is at being a wingman!" Sam yells as he tosses his head back, loud laughs spilling from his lips. "I'm hurt, Sam. Jess said she wanted a second date," You warn, a slight slur on your lips. Neither of you were drunk, but both of you were tipsy enough for it to go to your voices.
"This one is for Sam never losing his virginity!" You toss your rock. Sam finishes his beer, reaching for another. "Cheers universe, for doing one thing right. Giving me Y/N!" Sam raises his bottle, then takes a sip. You grab Sam's empty bottle and throwing it with all of your force. "And that universe, is for you letting my best friend fuck my sister," you yell, laughing.
"Oh come on, Y/N! That was a one-time thing. I was drunk, and she initiated it," Sam says defensively. You laugh and takes a swig from his bottle. "Imagine me having sex with Dean, and saying it was okay because he initiated it," you retort, watching Sam's face wrinkle up in disgust. Sam sits down, groaning as his weight shifted. You follow in suit. "I don't miss high school whatsoever. I'm living the life," Sam says as he takes another sip of his beer. "Me too, man. The universe may be an asshole, but I've got the bestest friend in the whole wide world," you slur slightly, and toss another rock. "That's for my broken arm!" You yell and Sam laughs. "You breaking your arm was your own fault," Sam says through laughs. "It may have been my fault but the Universe should have relocated the ground," you testify. Sam laughs, you joining him until the two of you were in a fit of laughter. "I," Sam wheezes. "don't think," he shakes his head trying to calm down. "the ground can," Sam starts laughing harder, and you curl into a ball as tears of laughter roll down his cheeks. "can relocate its self," Sam finishes, still laughing.
You wipe the tears off your face. "I believe the ground could do whatever it wanted to do!" you say defensively. Sam nods and shakes his head chuckling. "We're so dysfunctional," You say. "Omg," Sam says, forcing the pitch of his voice to raise, imitating the girls at Stanford, "Y/N knows a big word!"
You throw your hand out to slap Sam in the chest. "I know where you sleep, bitch," You tease. "I'll just have to kill you first," Sam says. You both continue your banter until you both are shit-faced, and in tears from laughing so hard.
"Already, dickface, let's go inside," Sam slurs, making an attempt to help you up. Both of you got up, and stagger toward to window that let you both onto the roof. You unsteadily dip your head in first, Sam following. Sam took a beeline to the bathroom, mumbling about how he needed to pee. You lay down in the bed before he can steal the better mattress. You were almost asleep when Sam stumbled back in the doorway, turning the lights off, and laying down on the twin mattress beside you. "Goodnight dickface," Sam spoke into his pillow, his voice muffled. "Goodnight, asshat," you grumble back, the both of you falling to sleep.
