⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️
❖Anna❖
Ones again I wake up with a throbbing pain in my head. But this time, it doesn't stop there. My whole body hurts and I'm sure that I can smell blood.
I slowly sit up, trying not to give in to the pain. Knowing my father, things will only get worse if I show my pain, so I'm not giving up just yet.
My hand goes to my nose, softly touching it. But even the softest touch makes me winch. It's definitely broken...I need to find a way out of here.
My eyes shoot around the cellar, trying to see a possible exit, but the only option I find is the door, which is locked.
Maybe I can find something that I could use as a weapon to fight my way out. Before I'm able to look around for one, the door slowly opens and a man I haven't seen before appears in the door opening.
"The boss wants to see you." He says, sounding boring. "Get up here. I don't want to have to get down to get you myself."
I blink, unable to respond out of fear for this man.
"Now!" His voice boulders and my body suddenly jerks into action. Quickly I make my way up the stairs.
"Smart girl." The man grunts at me as I reach the top.
He grabs me by my upper arm, holding me so tight that I'm sure it will and up bruised there.
"The boss did tell us that you were a pretty thing. We're going to have some fun with you I'm sure." He says with an evil smirk. We walk through a series of hallways making the house seem very big. But somehow, I have the feeling we're taking the long way to wherever we are going. Despite that, I try to make sure to remember everything around me, so I might be able to find a way out eventually.
"In here." The man grunts as we stop in front of a big white door.
The man knocks on it and the door flies open, as if someone was waiting on the other side to open it, which they probably where."Come in." A voice inside the room says and I'm being pushed inside. There I see Samuel sitting behind a big desk.
"Anna, how nice of you to join us today." Samuel greets me. "Your nose looks a crooked my dear. You should be more careful with yourself. We wouldn't want that pretty face of yours too damaged would we now?"
"You should say that to my father." I mumble, unable to keep it to myself, but Samuel heart it and he starts to laugh."You're a tough one Anna. I like that. Though I'm still a little angry about your little move yesterday."
Automatically I take a step back, creating some more space in between Samuel and me.
"But," he continues, "that isn't the reason I asked Isaac to bring you here. At least, not right now."Samuel stands up and walks to the front of his desk. "I promised your father that you could stay here for the time being, and he would help us a little in return. But this isn't a cheap hotel and you can't stay here for nothing. So you will have to work. We just lost a maid and you're going to take her spot and help the others keep the house clean."
The way he says 'lost a maid' makes the shivers go down my side.
"Isaac here is going to watch over you, every move, and he has permission to punish you if he thinks that it's needed. So, you don't have to think of running away."
Isaac smirks down at me, proud of his new position in this house.
"At night you will be back down in your cellar. Am I clear?"
I nod my head, as an answer to his question. Knowing that I really don't have much of a choice in this."Good. Your work will start tomorrow. But for now, I think the two of us have some unfinished business to attend to."
I take a step back and bump into Isaac. He pushes me back, straight into Samuel's arms.
"I prefer girls who fight back." He whispers in my ear. "Makes it more fun for me."
I try to get out of his arms, but his grip is to strong.
