The Soul's Tears

26 3 8

On the out, she smiles

Without a care in this world.

Her kindness was known throughout the city,

Negativity wouldn't dare effect her.

But on the in, she cries

Dying, hurting, broken, sick of this façade that she has to put up.

No one heard the wails, nor saw her tears of pearl.

Every arrow and attack was still embedded into her youthful skin.

On the out, her heart of gold shines like the sun.

Her eyes glimmer at those who fail to find hope.

Her beauty would let others raise their heads

Make her their idol, and spread her prism of hope's light.

But on the in, her glass heart, kind and sweet, breaks in every second.

Nobody loves her for who she is, only for what.

Nobody can accept the fact that she also has flaws.

Nobody would think of her feelings, nobody would treat her like a human.

Only as a goddess.

On the out, she does not ask for help.

But instead provide with so for the helpless.

Her mind of diamond dreams for others' happiness.

Her generosity inspires others to be like her.

But on the in, she screams for help.

Waits for the day the sun can shine on her soul again.

There wasn't anyone to give her the happiness she wanted so badly.

No one must see the moment she will show her reality.

Until the rain stops,

And the sun shines once more,

She will just have to keep on

Collecting her soul's tears

As she looks at the sky,

And watches the diamonds fall,

She wonders, when will the day come when these

Numb tears will stops falling.

She wanted to let the day come

When others can finally understand

That the raindrops from the sky,

Were just the soul's tears.

As she waits on.
