Clarity

Are you there?

Are you real? I might never know.

I guess I choose to let time flow.

The days go by, months and years pass.

I am starting to feel doubts swim in my head.

Is it really something that I said?

The wind violently blows around me,

But I don't still see you, not even a trace

I realised that I should have followed your pace.

My eyes widen with shock,

As I stare at your gravestone.

Underneath, you were just dust and bone.

Reality hits me like a train.

Turns out I was stuck in your web of illusion.

I can't believe I was so deluded.

I let my tears fall.

You were merely a recollection.

A friend who I will always remember in loving memory.

I found my clarity.
