Chapter 5: Facing My Enemy

She is now sitting on the veranda. She was thinking very deeply. She wants to comprehend everything that just happened awhile ago. She knew that there something wrong would happen but still she didn't trust her instinct. When did the last time that her instinct was wrong, she think none because she always trusts her instinct all the time. She believes that her instinct gave her a warning but she didn't listen. She didn't listen because she thought that it was the perfect day for everything but it was not. The perfect day that she dreamt turned to nightmare, now it answered why she's nervous. She has no courage to talk to Xander now because she knew that from that moment Xander was confused and she understand it. She knew it as well that Xander itself wants to seek an answer to his question. Xander was in trouble having to choose his love or his responsibility.

She stopped thinking in a certain things when someone spoke to her back.

"Oh you're here." She’s not mistaken that the one who owned that voice is Laika.

'What are you doing here?' Lean asked.

'Should that question is intended for me or that question is intended to you and not from me? Do I need to ask that question to you?"  More confident that she said it.

Are she commencing a fight, I'm just only asking why she's here?  Is there any bad thing that I said? Why so serious? She thought.

"Let me guess. Are you scared that you will loss the competition?" Laika said it with a smile.

“What are you trying to point out? Are you making a fight?" Her heave voice rise in anger. 

 Her expectation about Laika is a kind person. Since she owned a very gentle face. But it seems that her instinct was true. The truth was she's so mean and she's hiding her true color by using her gentle face. I should not give my first impression to her because first impression never last.

“Well, yes” Laika said.

She wants to utter something to depend herself but there’s one thing that made her stop. And that is the necklace that Laika's wearing. The necklace was very familiar to her. Well, not just she saw it awhile ago but there’s something about the necklace. She feels that she saw it somewhere but she doesn’t know where. Apparently she doesn’t see it clearly, because of their distance but now.....there’s something about the necklace that she wants to remember. There’s something's connection between her and the necklace. That’s odd.  But she couldn’t remember a bit of it.

 “Why are you looking to my necklace” Laika said. While hiding her necklace to her as if Lean would get it.

 She came closer to her and handed her necklace but...

“Can I see it?” Lean said with a low voice.

 But she only shoves her violently. As if she was too afraid that she will lose it.

“No way, why should I, never. She said in a rude way.

“I'm just here to warn you that I will never goanna lose the game. If I were you, You should therefore be apprehend for I'm goanna get what I want and I make sure that I will win the battle against you. She said in a smirk way.  And then leave thereafter.

Her head turn to wroth when she actually heard what she said. That reckless evil dare to fight against me then I will make her pay for this for I will serious this game. I'm not going to lose. She tries my patience then she will see how serious I am. She was really mad. Now she has the reason for beating Laika. She wants to show here that she will never ever goanna lose. She promised to herself. All days in staying in the mansion, she was too guilty because she is the reasoned for their separation but now never. That coward. She said.

"Lean where are you?" She heard Andoy is calling her name.

"Here I am, Why?"She asks.

'Hay....Lean what are you doing? Why are you hiding? Go out and see how that woman goes after to Xander. Andoy push her to go out to the veranda and force her to make some move to Xander. But she was too exhausting to that act and to shameful enough to do that move. She was a girl for crying out loud! and she doesn’t want having to chase a man on her own. She justified to herself that if a woman would do that act she was too desperate enough to take that man.

Why? What? ‘She said in annoying tone. She was too annoyed and tired of Laika and now here we go again Andoy her friend who added more burden on her.

 "That reckless evil was doing a move." Andoy's denunciation of her.

"Let her be." She can't believe that she said that to herself. However she wants to go out and beat Laika right there and then but still she's hesitant to do it because she doesn’t want to lower her pride for just one man.  She is not that kind of person. The reckless evil made already a move. Is she that kind of desperate to get the attention of Xander! Hmm!!! So annoying.

"I will go to my room, her feeling turns to worst when she sees Laika making a move to Xander but because of her pride she'd rather not stay. Suddenly her head struck in pain because of what they argued of Laika awhile ago. Looks like the necklace was the cause of her head ache.

'All right I'm not going; it's really painful and I cannot take any longer eh. I should take my rest" She just said it to have an excuse to herself because if she will not live now maybe she might do crazy staff just to prove to that reckless evil that she is not a loser and she don't want that to happen, it’s really embarrassing. It's better to avoid it now before it's too late.

Her friend cannot do anything to detain her to stay.  She continued walking wishing that nobody would ever notice her living in that party. She thought.
