Today was a rainy day...in Gotham. It seemed like it wouldn't stop pouring down on the people. (Y/N) worried that at some point, it would break through the roof of the warehouse. But it only took up small space in her mind. She felt Arthur's arms around her, as they were both laying on a bed in his room. With her head on his torso, she could hear, and even lightly feel his heartbeat. In combination with his breathing, it had a very calming effect on (Y/N). She was threatening to fall asleep, and the fact that Arthur's hands were constantly stroking her (Y/H/L) (Y/H/C) Hair, wasn't helping.

"You hanging in there, Peaches?"

(Y/N) hummed quietly.

"By the way, I thought of a nickname for you."

"Oh, I can't wait to find out...", Arthur answered sarcastically.

(Y/N) gathered her thoughts.

"I went through it all. Arf, Artie Artus. But one of them stood out to me", she put her head up and looked him directly in the eyes.

"Art. Because you are a piece of art. Beautiful, Rare and expensive. Nobody really gets you but the ones that do, will do anything to get close to you."

She smiled and continued.

"That's me, by the way. I really get you."

Arthur was speechless. He didn't know what to say, so he just kissed her like there was no tomorrow. And just like the first time they have talked, the rain was pouring outside while they enjoyed their togetherness.

Kicked out. Replaced. Forgotten. Paul's Mind went to dark places. I hate her. Why can't the Joker admire me like that? I have done so much for him. Now, his mind drifted off to the very dark places. I need to get rid of her. But how? There has got to be a way. Suddenly, he knew. I am gonna make the Joker hate her. And that thought looped and echoed through his head, he liked it. So there he was. Laying on the cold ground. Laughing like a maniac. He now officially lost his mind, but that didn't intimidate him. At all.

Dustin looked over to a man who was curled up and laying on the ground. At first, he didn't recognize him, but the he realised: that's Paul. Dustin  never liked him. He was cold, and way too obsessive over the Joker. If  Someone tried to talk to him, it was useless. He doesn't want to talk. You're a waste of time for him. You're not worth it. It got ridiculous at some point. Even the Joker started to get intimidated, but didn't do anything about it, since after all, he was helpful and tried his best. But he was starting to scare people. After (Y/N) became the main focus of the Joker, Paul went from "the best man" to only a sidekick. And that probably angered him.

"Isn't it crazy that (Y/N) and the Joker are a couple now? ", he heard Stella ask next to him.

"Yes! But I kind of already knew. You should have seen how they looked at each other on her first day. It was the definition of eyesex."

Stella chuckled. Then she saw Paul too.

"Hm. Can't be happy for others, no?"

Dustin took Stella into her arms. He suddenly got the weird feeling that something was going to happen. Something awful. And he couldn't get the thought out of his head, that (Y/N) might be involved in it. He held Stella tighter.

"No. Definitely not."

"Am I...a kitchen gadget?"

"Nooo...keep going."

"Am I an animal?"

"You're getting there, Pumpkin."

"Am I a...dragon?"

"That's...not an animal."

"You don't tell me about animal standards!"

"Ok, ok. Sorry, sweat pea."

"I am not sure if I can forgive you."

"What do I have to do for you to forgive me?"

(Y/N) thought for a second.

"Answer this question."

"I'm all ears."

(Y/N) came closer to him. She whispered in his ear, and when Arthur felt her hot breath against his ear and neck, he could pass out. Goosebumps made their way all over his body and he stiffed up really quickly.

"How's the weather, Arthur?"

He took her head in between his hands and answered in slow, clear sentences.

"Today is a rainy day..."

(Y/N)'s face suddenly dropped. All of the fun from before suddenly faded away.

"Why are you sad?"

Arthur gave her a reassuring smile.

"I wasn't finished, Bubbles. When you explained this whole thing to me, you said that rain meant sadness for many people. And that is true sometimes. But I also find rain to be very realxing and calming. So don't be scared. I am doing well."

Arthur pressed his forehead on         (Y/N)'s.

"So well."

They stayed like this for some time. (Y/N)'s worry all faded away, they went with the waves of happiness and completion.

"I love you, Arthur."

"And I love you, my little Alpaca."

"So I was an Alpaca!"

"You got it!"

Arthur watched her get exited like a little child. She really brought some life into his existence. A breath of fresh air that he needed in this toxic, wasted hole named Gotham. She eventually got up and did a little victory - dance, even though Arthur told her the answer. He heard something jiggling. The keyring that he gave her was connected with the hoops of her jeans, where you would normally put a belt through.  Arthur smiled and looked at this masterpiece. The love of his life, being happy in his presence and sprinkling positivity everywhere. How did I deserve you?

Arthur now got up too and tuned on the radio. And whatever Song was playing, she knew all the words and let the rhythm flow through her veins like a shot of heroine. Arthur joined her, as the beat carried them away, into a state of pure satisfaction.

(Y/N) And Arthur danced, not knowing what was going to happen soon. Not thinking about anything else than each other. And it would hit them. Hard.
