~ Chapter 20 ~

KENZIE P.O.V

I went to sit on the couch by myself but I fell. Lauren helped me to sit on the couch then I cried even more. I cried even more because I fell and it hurt of course and I didn't want to take a break of John and I's relationship. But I think it's for the better.

"What did he do Kenzie?" Lauren says, wiping my tears.

"Nothing.... I... I decided to take a break with him...." I say, with more tears falling out of my eyes. Lauren asks me for more details then I told her.

"Oh.... I'm so sorry..... Do you want me to-" Lauren asks but I interrupt her.

"Please.... Don't talk to him...." I begged her then she nods. She heads back in the kitchen then continues to cook dinner. John comes downstairs then he looks at me. He has been crying too.

"Lauren, can I get a glass of water please?" John asks coldly then Lauren gives him a glass of water. John gulps it down then heads back upstairs to what seems like his room.

Few minutes later....

John, Lauren and I awkwardly eat dinner in silence. The kids started crying and Lauren heads upstairs to check on them then it leaves me John, sitting around each other.

"Kenz.... Can we please talk about this?" John asks me and I look at him.

"What's there to talk about Johnny?" I ask him coldly. I haven't called him Johnny in what seems like forever. I saw the look on his face that he was surprised that I called him Johnny as well.

"Kenzie.... You know what there is to talk about," John says coldly and I stay silent.

"Kenzie. Please." John begs and that made me lose it.

"JOHNNY! CAN YOU PLEASE STOP IT?! I JUST NEED SPACE RIGHT NOW AND YOU NEED TO ACCEPT THAT!" I yell then I left the house. I started crying and had nowhere to go. So I just sat against our front door then just cried there.

JOHN P.O.V

You blew it. You had this one chance to get Kenzie back and this is what you do. Why are you so stupid Johnny Vincent Orlando?!

"What did you do now John?" Lauren asks me, while coming down the stairs. I put my hands through my hair then Lauren sits beside me. I told her what happened.

"Where is she?" Lauren asks.

"She left the house," I answer then I looked at Lauren.

"I made the love of my life ran away from me because I was desperate to have her back Lauren.... Why am I an idiot in times like these Lauren?" I ask Lauren then she slaps me in the face.

"What the fuck was that for?!" I yell at her then she slaps me in the face again.

"I slapped you because one, I just had to, two, because you deserved that and three, you're not an idiot. Kenzie just wants space because of what happened to you guys two weeks ago," Lauren says, proving a point.

"So what do I do?" I ask her.

"Just give her some time." She answers then I nod.

"Get some sleep Johnny. You need to be well rested too." She says then I head upstairs to my room.
