~ Chapter 27 ~

KENZIE P.O.V

The next day ~

I wake up and see no one beside me and I tear up a little. John's still in jail. I check my phone (which i got back from hayden that time when he kidnapped me) and checked if John called or anything. Nothing.

I sighed then head to the bathroom. I took a shower then put one of John's millions of hoodies then put some denim shorts on. I head downstairs then I cooked some bacon and eggs then I ate them. Alone.

I finished eating then I got a message from Lauren.

Lolo👭- good morning honey!
Lolo👭- i know you're sad that john's not there but i asked hayden if you had practice and you didn't. and, don't stay home today. go out and do something. wether it's just walking, or shopping or etc., just go out and do something. it will distract you from john. love ya boo!

I put on my converse, then grabbed my essentials then head to the car. I got a call from Hayden while I drive.

"Good morning Kenz!" He says excitedly.

"Morning Hayden. Tell Annie I said hi." I answer back, smiling a little.

"Ugh. It's always Annie every time I call you." He says, clearly annoyed.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" I start but he chuckles. A lot.

"Did.... Did I say something wrong that made you chuckle?" I ask him.

"No. No. It's not that. I was just kidding." He says, stopping his chuckling.

"So what's up?" I ask him, changing the subject.

"How you holding up?" He asks me, and I told him that I was going somewhere.

"Oh, that's great! I guess I'll talk to you later then." He says, then I hear something in the background in his call.

"HAYDEN! DON'T YOU THERE END THAT CALL WITH MY BEST FRIEND!" I hear Annie yell, making me chuckle.

"Okay. Jeez. Just give me my phone back af-" Hayden starts.

"Yeah yeah okay whatever." Annie says quickly, interrupting Hayden's sentence.

"What's up Annie?" I ask her, getting out of the car since I arrived at the park then walking to a grassy area just to sit down there and relax.

"It's about Johnny." She says, making my heart beat insanely fast.

"What happened to..... What happened to John?" I ask her, shaking.

"There was an explosion at the prison yesterday evening and some of the prisoners escaped. One of them had a gun and shot Johnny." Annie explains and tears form in my eyes.

"They... Where is he?" I ask her.

"He's at the ER in the hospital near your house." She says.

"THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH ANNIE!" I say, jumping off the grass then hop onto my car then drive to the hospital. I really wanted to ask Annie how she knew but then realize, it's probably all over the entire fucking Internet.

I park in the parking lot then hop off. I head to the front desk then the lady asks me the simple things they ask you.

"Uh.... Is Johnn-" I start and tells me to go to the ER immediately since Johnny was apparently 'freaking out'. I thank her then run to the ER. I then hear a familiar yell.

"I WON'T GO BACK IN THAT FUCKING CELL!" I hear John yell, while tears start to pour out of my eyes and I start to run even faster to the noise.

"Sir, please calm down." I hear one of the staff say, trying to calm my husband down.

"Johnny?" I say, my voice breaking then there was immediate silence.

"Ken-" he starts but I hug him gently, knowing that if I squeeze him too hard, I might hurt him.

"I missed you." He whispers into my hair.

"Uh... I'm not trying to interrupt.. But you're his wife. Right?" The employee asks, while I let go of John and nod.

"Yes." I answer simply.

"Well, I have a few topics I wanna clarify with me and your manager." He explains and John squeezes my hand.

"Don't leave me please." He mouths to me.

"It'll only take a second Johnny. I'll be back before you know it." I say, kissing his cheek then he heads to the hospital room while I head to the coffee store they had in the hospital. I order a drink then meet Mike at one of the tables. I sit beside him while the employee sits across from us.

"So what would you like to discuss?" I say, holding my tears in, knowing that this would be bad news for both John and I's career.

"Kenzie... It's about Johnny and-" Mike starts and I stop him.

"Mike.... Please don't leave us on the dust.... This tour means the whole world to me and John and I worked so fucking hard for our careers." I plead, practically almost on the verge to go on my knees.

"Kenzie.... That's not we're here to talk about." Mike says, chuckling then the employee chuckles too.

"Wha... What's going on?" I ask, clearly clueless.

"This is not about your career. It has been taken cared of. This is about you husband's health." Mike answers and my heart breaks instantly.

"Is... Is he going to be okay? He looked fine earlier." I say, tearing forming in my eyes but I hold it in.

"Well, Mrs. Orlando, he seems he's going to be okay. We have extracted the bullet from his chest and done some stitching and stuff. But it seems to see that he has anxiety." The employee explains and my jaw drops. Johnny has anxiety?!

"What do you mean John has anxiety?!" I exclaim, making people look at us.

"Well, when the doctors were checking on him, they saw that he was acting weirdly. We realized that it was a sign that he has anxiety. And it started years ago, he confirmed." The employee explained until my tears couldn't be held anymore. So I let it all out.

"Can.... Can I bail him out?" I ask Mike, knowing that he would say no.

"But Kenz..... John said-" he starts.

"Michael please..... He won't survive in there." I beg. After a few minutes, he nods then I gave him the money then he heads to the police station while I head to Johnny's hospital room.

"I'll give you two some space." The same employee who was talking to Mike and I say then heads out of the room. I hold John's hand.

"Why didn't you tell me you had anxiety?" I whisper to him then he starts to cry.

"How did you find out?" He asks, while I wipe his tears from his pale face.
