Maru woke up, confused, still nauseated from the sudden appearance of the purple shadow. Apparently he was at home, but he didn't remember how he got there. He made sure that no one knew where he lived... Maru then remembered what happened yesterday night.
"Wait... Where's Aleister? Has he been watching me?"
A noise came from the kitchen. Maru charged his scythe, and slowly approached the kitchen, carefully observing his surroundings. He decided he launch into the kitchen, hopefully frightening whoever's inside.
"Hyah!"
For some reason, Aleister was holding multiple dishes, which he dropped when Maru yelled.
"Maru, why?"
"I-I umm..."
Maru started to blush and tried desperately to hide his face. Aleister had taken off the cloak, which revealed most of his physical features. He had slick, relaxed hair that covered his left eye, his right eye gleamed like a firefly in the night. His hair was messy, and he wore a leather jacket with a sharp collar with the sleeves rolled, and a necklace with a star in the center, that hung to his chest.
"Are you gonna cl-" Aleister realized Maru was fiddling a lot. "Are you okay?"
Maru's arm was covering half his face.
"YeahI'mtotallydefinitelyfine! But enough of me, why are you here!? What is a bond!? Who the hell tried to kill me!? What is his "masterpiece"?!"
"Okay, okay, okay. Soo... Hmm... How do I put this?""Number uno! A bond is a never-ending agreement between a pure assassin and a dark one. In this case, you're the pure assassin."
"Wait, why am the pure one?"
"It's what you're fighting for. When you're an assassin for a positive aspect. Haven't you noticed the color of your scythe?"
"Yeah, it's pink and white. So what?"
"The brighter the color of your energy, the more pure you are."
"So then there are other pure assassins right? Why the hell did you choose me?!"
"Well... They're pretty rare actually. You're the first one I've seen in months of searching."
"So if you're not pure, what are you fighting for?"
"I'm fighting to stop my dad... By killing him."
Maru took his hand from his face, but he stopped blushing right afterwards.
"What is your dad fighting for?"
"He's fighting to start a revolution. He's planning to use the Daemons to wreak havoc upon the world."
"Can I ask you something else?"
"What is it?"
"Why am I getting these... Feelings? Whenever you're near me I just feel so weak, why?"
"Maru... I don't think that has anything to do with me..."
Aleister started to feel a little warm after he realized what Maru was feeling. "Maru... How long has it been since you've expressed certain emotions, specifically love?"
"My instructor always told me that I should focus on my goals and never let my feelings over another get in the way..."
Aleister hugged Maru. They both got a warm feeling in their hearts.
"It's been so long since I've felt this way..."End of Ch.3
