Maru and Aleister sat on a couch, talking about the plan to stop Aleister's dad.
"So you think we can stop him with just the two of us. You have to have a backup plan right? And I'm sorry but I'm not doing anything till I win the tournament."
"You'll have time to finish your tournament, and of course I have a backup plan. You do have friends right?"
Maru began to think of who could help them.
"Well of course we have Lyze, mabye Zora, if she even bothers to talk to me."
"Depending on their abilities, that could be good, but I would prefer to have at least one or two more people..." Maru begins to look nervous, fighting with his fingers, and looking down.
"Well I do know someone else, but I don't know..."
"Who is it?"
"I guess you could say they're a childhood friend..."
"First thing first though, we have to do the bond."

Aleister and Maru stood in an empty room. They both were on opposite sides of the room. Small amounts of white and black flower petals were littered across the room.
"Alright, first, summon your aura."
"My who, what, huh now?"
"Aura. Just think of what you're fighting for and take that passion and channel it across your body."
"I'll try..."
They both stood holding hands, eyes closed, and clenched fists. The flower petals slowly rose as Aleister and Maru summoned their auras and channeled it around the room. The room suddenly burst with energy. Swirls of purple and white aura filled the room, the flowered petals followed the swirls of aura. The aura began to form a Ying-yang symbol. After a short while their auras began to settle to the ground with the petals right behind it.
"So that's it then?"
"Yep. As long as we're in a close range of each other, our weapons and aura will have twice as much as power than before, but forget that, I have teach you how to use your aura first."
"So what are two of your favorite things?"
"Gum and feathers. Please don't ask."
"Good enough. You can only have two abilities based on these things, but you can use them in a multitude of ways. Alright so first summon your aura, manipulate it into one of those things, and see the effect it has on your reality."
Maru summoned his aura, and with all his excitement and determination combined, tried his best to follow the instructions. He tightly closed his eyes and imagined the lightness of a feather. He didn't feel any different.
"I don't thi-"
"Maru! Open your eyes!"
The room had been filled with Maru's aura. Things began to slowly lift off the ground, along with Aleister and Maru.
"This is what I can do? This is awesome!"
The white aura suddenly imploded on itself, causing everything afloat to hit the ground.
"Next time, you need to stay more focused. Try to use your aura in different ways while fighting at the tournament."
"With this, I'll for sure be able to win!"

A day had passed since Aleister and Maru completed the bond. Maru was in the arena with another person, preparing for battle.
"Annnd for this game we have Maru, the joyful assassin, and and Ricardo, the poison assassin!"
"May the best man win Ricardo!"
Ricardo scoffs with a smirk on his face.
"Challengers, ready your weapons!"
Ricardo takes out two small shurikens that began to gleam with a green aura.
"Hey Ricardo! If you don't mind me asking, what are you fighting for?"
"That's no business my opponent has the right to know."
"3... 2... 1... Fight!"
Aleister and Lyze sat in the stands watching Maru's fight.
"So are you an assassin also?"
"Yes, but no. I have no purpose to become a true assassin, but if I ever wanted to fufill the role of an assassin, I have the skills and mindset to do so. I'm just here to support Maru."
"Oh... Uh-huh..."
Aleister began to question Maru's choice in the people he chose to help. "How the hell is this guy going to be useful?"
"If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions."
"Sure! I'd be happy if you told me a little about yourself also."
"I agree. Number one, what race are you?"
Lyze had taken out his small laptop, ready to get any and every piece of information on Aleister.
"I'm not from this world... I'm half Daemon. My father was exiled from the upside down because he had conducted bio-experiments on other Daemons. So he came here to continue his research. He met my mother, who was a pure assassin. He was interested in the "assassins" of this world. So he became a dark assassin and bonded with my mom, so he could get his revenge from those who exiled him. Henceforth, I was born. He used me as his subject for two years after my third birthday. My mom couldn't take it anymore, so she tried to fight him. His aura was pure darkness, there was no way she could've won... So she told me to flee. I had been on my own for at least two weeks before I became an orphan, and I never saw my mother again... but every since that day, I vowed that I'd make him pay for what he did to me...to us..."
Aleister was close to tears at this point while clenching his fists with a sense of vengeance. Lyze had a blank expression on his face, as though someone had ripped out his heart and held it in front of his eyes.
"I'm sorry Aleister... I didn't realize."
"Don't worry about it! There's no way you could've known. Either way, Lyze, Maru and I need your help... My dad is close to completing his "revolution". We need your help... We have to do this together!"
"I accept your offer. And I think I know what I'm fighting for know... For my friends to live a life with someone to care about them."
