Marinette slowly got up at the sound of her alarm going off. She had set it extra early so she could take her time getting ready for school, she quickly regretted it. Suddenly she realized,
"Oh my gosh! Tikki! It's my birthday!"
Marinette ran to get out of bed but in the process she fell down the stairs. She sat for a moment caressing her behind, then dashed towards her mirror leaving a cloud of dust behind her. Once she got to the mirror she shut her eyes as tight as she could.
"Tikki I don't know if I should... I'm scared."
"Oh Marinette, you fight lots of dangerous Akumas all of the time, this should be easy." Tikki softly said to assure her that it going to be okay.
"But Tikki, this is my love mark, what if I just don't have one? Or he isn't my true love?"
On occasion so people didn't even have love marks, or they didn't fall in love, though they were still called love marks because most people fell in love. Not all of them ended up together.
"Umm... I'm pretty sure you've got one so that's out of the question." Tikki had caught a glimpse of it as Marinette raced passed her. Tikki went to sneak a peek at it to tell Marinette that it wasn't that bad, but she was wrong, Tikki sat there stunned.
"..."
She couldn't find a word to say to Marinette. Not that she could even utter one if she wanted too.
"Okay Tikki, I'm opening my eyes now..."
Marinette first carefully checked under her right ear, nothing. She slowly turned to her left ear, a cold sweat running down her forehead. Marinette almost died on the spot.
There under Marinettes left ear, was her love mark, a black paw print outlined with green.
Marinette knew that this meant one thing.
Her soulmate was, her partner, Ladybugs partner, not Adrien, but Chat Noir.
I'm so sorry that this is so short but it's the first chapter so I have to set up some stuff for the next couple chapters. Also get Marinettes mood towards Chat down.
