Chapter 7: Mr. Shy and Reserved

Chat Noir's POV

"Okay Chat, I say you go first." Marinette smiled.

"Umm, okay, lemme think about it."

What should I tell her? I obviously can't tell her that I've got blond hair, because she already knows that. OH OH, I can tell her that I go to her school! Wait no, she'll probably freak out. I'll save that one for later. I've got it.

"Alright Mari, here it goes, when I'm out of the cat suit, I'm a lot more shy and reserved."

"Shy and reserved huh? I never would have guessed that."

"Okay, now Mari please answer my question! Is he in your class?!" I was practically begging on my hands and knees.

"Umm, I don't know if I should tell yo-. Never mind screw that, you told me something so it's only fair that I tell you."

"Yes, he is in my class." She sighed.

WELL. Have I really checked well enough to see if anyone else has these initials? Guess not because she can't be in love with me! I mean, I guess it makes sense? I am her soulmate, with or without the suit.

Nope it can't be.

"Thank you princess, now I have to go find the guy." I stepped back out on to her balcony.

"I'll see you tomorrow!" I yelled back at her while jumping onto a near by roof.

"See you tomorrow Mr. Shy and Reserved!" She laughed.

I chuckled at her response. How cute.

Marinette's POV

As soon as chat was out of sight, I ran back down my stairs and opened the first notebook I saw. Then I jotted something down.

"Things I know about Chat Noir, and what he knows about my crush on Adrien."

I put two columns on the page, one for what I knew about him. And one for what he knew about my crush.

In the first one I wrote:

He knows his initials,
And that he's in my class.

Well shit. He already knows. I gave him the only two things he needs to figure out who it is. Well then, I guess since he's done with mine, I'll tell him I know who ladybug is. And that I'll give him hints as to who she is.

In the second column I wrote:

When he's not Chat he's usually shy and reserved.

Damn I got ripped off. He knows more than I do! When I see him tomorrow I'll tell him he owes me two hints instead of just one.

After finishing up with my notes, I hid them in my diary box. You know, the one that Sabrina's hand got stuck in, that one.

The rest of the night I could only think of who it could be behind that black leather mask. I didn't even worry about if he knows my crush. It's not like he could know him.

Adrien's POV

"PLAGG HOW COULD I NOT KNOW? How could I not notice Marinette had a crush on me?!"

"You see Adrien, (Plagg pulls out chart from literally nowhere) its this thing called density, that you seem to have a lot of. I made this chart of the denseness of a regular person, and then one of you. Notice how your density is 569% higher than that of a regular person? That's how."

(Adrien blinks)

"I'm just going to ignore that." I threw my face into a pillow on my couch.

"HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO CARELESS? I PRACTICALLY SCREAMED IN HER FACE WHAT A GOOD FRIEND SHE WAS! THAT MUST HAVE HURT SO MUCH!" I screamed in to the pillow. By now I was practically crying.

"I can never look at her again without feeling super bad!" I sobbed into the pillow.

"Well then. I guess it's a good thing you'll see her at school tomorrow."

"oH gOD pLeAsE nO."

~le magical time skip to the next day~

I woke up to the sound of banging on my door.

"Adrien, Adrien?"

It was Natalie, I turned to my alarm clock, 7:50?! School starts in ten minutes! I fell out of my bed, and then ran to put my clothes on. I hadn't gotten much sleep because I was so upset I didn't realize Marinette's feelings sooner, that I didn't fall asleep until 2 am.

"Coming Natalie!" I yelled as I fell while trying to put my pants on.

"Adrien? What fell?"

"Umm, my shirt." I fibbed.

"It sounded heavier than a shirt."

"I was in it."

"Okay...?" Then I heard her footsteps fade down the hallway.

I ran in to my bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my hair. Once I looked in the mirror I was shocked. I looked like death itself. My eyes were bloodshot and had big bags. Nevertheless I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair. Once I made it down stairs I only had five minutes to get to school on time. Natalie gave me a muffin and I ran to the limo.

As soon as we made it to the school, the bell rang, I thanked gorilla and then sprinted to my class. Once I made it there I ran and slammed the door. Everyone in the room looked at me. Including Marinette. Today was going to be bad. After a minute I realized Ms. Bustier wasn't there yet. I went and sat next to Nino in my seat.

"Hey, what happened to Ms. Bustier?"

"She hasn't come in yet, so we're all just kinda chilling here."

"Okay good." And with that my head fell on my desk and I fell asleep. Having no sense of what was going on around me.

What felt like half an hour later I felt someone pick me up. As soon as I did I realized I was no longer in the classroom but with ladybug running across buildings.

"Adrien I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you, but that classroom wasn't safe."

"What?! Ladybug? What is going on? Is there an akuma attack?"

"Yes, and you managed to sleep through part of the classroom being destroyed. You could've been hurt."

Ladybug landed on the ground and let me go.

"It's not safe here. Go hide, me and Chat Noir will handle this. If he even bothers to show up!" She seemed slightly annoyed with me, or as I should say, Chat Noir.

I thanked her and then ran off to go transform.

Darn, I'm around 20 minutes late. Oh well, at least I did it
