Chapter 3!
At Last
____________________

Kamri sat in History class counting down the minutes until Lunch time, Layla had told her that morning that she would speak to Graham at lunch time and Kamri was ready to pull Layla over to Graham and get her to speak to him right then and there but she didn't do it.
She knew better than to change Layla's plans.

Kamri was ready to just run to the office and ring the bell herself, then the bell rang. She jumped from her desk, said a quick goodbye to her friend and then ran into the cafeteria. Layla was waiting for her at their usual table and Kamri saw her looking over to the table Graham was now sitting at.

"I feel so bad for everything I've done." Layla said when Kamri sat down next her.

"It's fine Layla, I'm sure he'll understand and forgive you." Kamri replied. "You ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." Layla said as she stood up and then took in a deep breath, walking confidently towards Graham's table. Kamri tried to her best to keep up with her.

As the two girls were walking towards them, one of Graham's friends gestured their head towards the girls causing Graham and a few of his friends to turn around.

"Hey uh, can we talk to you?" Layla asked trying not to sound nervous. Graham nodded and stood up, following the two girls as they walked back to their table.

"So, um, what's up?" Graham asked once they had sat down at the table.

Layla took in another deep breath, "I just wanted to apologise to you, it was stupid of me to run off after you told me how you felt. I was just scared."

"Scared of what?" Graham asked and he looked genuinely curious.

Kamri then looked over to Layla who seemed like she struggling to find the right words.

"Layla was scared that if you guys ever broke up then it would ruin your friendship and she was also scared of getting hurt." Kamri said looking at Graham and then turning to Layla who had a look saying 'thank you' plastered on her face.

Kamri had purposely left out the part about Layla not thinking she was ready to be in a relationship because she was secretly hoping that her two friends would start dating right then and there.

"I would never hurt you." Graham said giving Layla a small smile which she returned.

"Which is exactly what I told her when she said that to me!" Kamri said trying to make herself noticed.

When Graham and Layla didn't reply and continued to stare at each other, Kamri cleared her throat causing the two teens to turn and look at her.

"Alright, I think it's settled. You guys are now official and I'm invisible!" Kamri started letting out a small laugh afterwards.

"Hey, hey, hey. Don't get too ahead of yourself Kamri! We're not official yet." Graham said and stood up, holding his hand out to Layla. "Come with me?" He asked and Layla nodded taking his hand. The two of them walked off hand in hand.

Kamri laughed and took out her phone messaging the 'layam's biggest shippers' groupchat that their mission had been successful. Then she scrolled through Instagram for about 10 minutes before Graham and Layla returned to the table, their hands still intertwined.

"Now we're official!" Layla said from behind Kamri, causing her to jump.

"FINALLY!" Kamri shouted which made the whole cafeteria turn their heads towards her. "Sorry, my friends are just officially official and I'm really happy."

She then gave her two friends a hug each and they sat back down and started talking just like old times.
