Awkwardness
& Jealousy Part 1

Kamri had been dating Cooper for almost a month now and it had been going great. He got along well with Layla and was already friends Graham before dating Kamri, so obviously they were already good friends.

Cooper wasn't like the other boys Kamri had dated, he cared about her and he didn't want fame. The only problem was that he got jealous easily which was the exact reason Kamri still hadn't introduced him to Dylan yet.

She still talked to Dylan and they were still good friends. He'd started dating a new girl, so naturally Kamri assumed he'd moved on. But, she was still scared of how Cooper would react if she introduced him to Dylan.

On the day before their one month anniversary Kamri got a call from Layla.

"Hey Kam, do you have a minute?" Layla asked after Kamri picked up.

"Yeah, I wouldn't have picked up if I didn't." Kamri replied and laughed slightly.

"Great, well I just wanted to quickly tell you that since your one month anniversary with Cooper is coming up. I think it's time you introduce him to Dylan. I know you're scared he'll get jealous and leave you or something but if he really likes you that won't happen. Their needs to be trust for a relationship to work and if he gets jealous, it obviously means he doesn't trust you." Layla had to stop herself before she rambled on.

Kamri thought for a minute and then said, "You're right. Maybe I'll invite him and his girlfriend to hang out with us the day after tomorrow. You can come with Graham too if you want."

"That sounds like a good idea, a triple date!" Layla said and laughed at her last comment, Kamri laughed with her.

"Exactly! My mom is calling me for dinner now so I have to go but I'll talk to Dylan and Cooper about it and you can talk to Graham, tell me how it goes okay?"

"Okay. See you later." Layla said and then hung up.

The next two days went by in the blink of an eye. Kamri and Cooper's anniversary date went great and both Cooper and Dylan had agreed to Kamri's triple date idea. Though Cooper didn't know who the third couple was because Kamri had decided it was probably best not to tell him just yet.

It wasn't really a fancy date though, they were just going to hang and chat at Starbucks for a bit and then walk around town.

Kamri woke up that morning full of excitement though on the inside she was scared, she didn't want anything to go wrong. Cooper did horrible things when he got jealous and she definitely did not want to see him hurt Dylan.

"Alright," She said to herself after getting up and looking at the time on her phone. "I have exactly an hour to get ready."

In that hour Kamri had a quick shower, straightened her hair, then picked out an outfit and got changed. She couldn't be bothered putting any make-up on apart from a bit of mascara and lip gloss. She then went downstairs where her mother was waiting for her.

"You ready to go honey?" Julie asked and Kamri nodded. They then walked outside and got into the car.

It took them 10 minutes to reach Starbucks and when they arrived Kamri walked in to see Layla and Graham already there, waiting.

Kamri said a quick goodbye to her mother, then walked over to sit down with Graham and Layla. She said a quick hello to them and then completely zoned out on their conversation, beginning to stress out about how Cooper would react when he met Dylan. Kamri was so zoned out that she didn't realise that Layla and Graham had been trying to get her attention.

"KAMRI GRACE ARE YOU LISTENING?!" Layla shouted to get Kamri's attention.

"Huh. Oh uh, yes?" She lied.

"Oh really, then what have we been saying for the past 5 minutes?" Graham asked her.

Kamri rolled her eyes, "Fine, I wasn't listening. I'm just stressing out about how Cooper is going to react when he meets Dylan."

Layla gave Kamri a sympathetic look, "Kamri don't worry, Cooper doesn't know anything about your history with Dylan. He'll probably just think you're good friends, which you are. I don't think he'll do anything bad."

"I hope you're right." Kamri said as she watched Cooper walk in the door, Dylan and his girlfriend following close behind.

Kamri then stood up and gave her boyfriend a quick kiss, leading him over to her friends. After the two sat down Cooper's eyes widened as they landed on Dylan's girlfriend.

"What is she doing here?" Cooper asked Kamri, it was evident in his voice that he was nervous.

"Uh, she's coming on the triple date with her boyfriend. He's one of my close friends. Why, do you know her?" Kamri asked.

"Yeah we uh, we used to date..." Cooper replied and now it was Kamri's eyes that widened.
