Ben didn't come home until really late last night, like almost two in the morning. Apparently the office had the governor come by today, which left them a lot of work to do. So basically, I ate dinner alone last night. I remember when Ben used to come home late, and me and Christina would just sit down, eat, go watch and episode or two of cat and dog, then I would brush her long hair. She loved it when I played with her hair. It was so soft, and long but now its short and dirty black. I wish she was here during times like this. Ben better be glad he gave me a gift today to supply to his absence, but work is important so I'll have to forgive him. I mean how else would we have such a lovely house?
Today I needed to run a few errands for the house. Im thinking about stopping by the center so I can see Christina. I guess I'm still at such a high about what doctor Canoff said yesterday, I don't want to ruin that if she doesn't want to talk to me today. But maybe its worth the try? I don't know.
I began to get dress to leave. Ben already left for work earlier. Hopefully he comes home early today so we can at least say high to eachother, face to face.
"Okay mam, that would be $203.73, just swipe your card right there"
"Here's your receipt mam, have a nice day!"
"Thanks so much, you too!"
I went to the car and packed up my groceries, making sure everything was good.
Ohanewcoffeeshop? I looked to the left of the publix plaza and saw a nice cute coffee shop on the side of the building. I knew it must have been a new addition, because I don't remember a fechinni coffee next to publix. What at the heck, I'll give it a try! Plus a nice latte is good every once in a while, am I right?"Welcome to fechinni's what can I get you?"
I looked up from digging in my purse to retrieve my wallet I just put away from paying for the groceries at the grocery store. It was her...
It was, Rachel.
"Rachel?" I said with a slight sob.
Tears were flowing as I reassured her existence with a glance at her name tag.
"Kel- Kel--? Kelly?" She replied.
She dropped everything and ran around the counter sum combing me with a big hug. As her face leaned against my shoulder, I could feel the warmth of her tears.
"I thought you moved to England? Three years ago? How- ha! How are you?" I said wiping the tears of joy.
"Look at us were a mess" she replied.
"But-uh I'm great! I'm great- its just been so long Kelly, entirely too long." She said while bearing me into another hug.
"I know you've been to England, you sound a lot like them!" I said.
"RACHEL! THERE ARE CUSTOMERS" screamed Rachel's boss.
I looked back and I saw everyone in line, staring at us like we were some type of aliens.
"Sir, this my sister and I haven't seen her in a while. I'm taking the rest of the day off." She replied with a big grin, while furiously un-tieing her apron.
And with that she grabbed my hand and sat me down at a table.
"Let's grab some coffee, we have a lot of catching up to do..."
