the elevator doors open up to the lobby and i see hayley and zoe talking

i throw up in my mouth by just looking at her

i try to look around for payton, but there are so many people here. i didn't know it would be this packed.

"excuse me" i keep saying to people as i try to look for him

wait

"payton??" i ask the guy, but he ignores me as he stares at his phone

shit. not payton. embarrassing....

"ev?" i hear

i turn around and see payton standing right behind me. my stomach gets butterflies

"payton oh my god thank you" i hug him "i almost hugged someone else"

he laughed

he's wearing a sweatshirt and his hair's messy from traveling i guess

"i missed you so much" i say as i pull away

"me too" he smiles and slides his phone into his back pocket, "i can't wait for vidcon"

"honestly same" i reply

"and i can't wait for all of us to be together again" he smiles

i press my lips together thinking about chase. i need to get my mind off of him

"yea" i nod

"i need to go check in, i'll be right back" payton grabs his bags, "bye". he smiles and walks over to the counter

"okay, i'm going to go save hayley from zoe" i giggle as i jog over to them talking.. together

"hey hayley," i look over at zoe "and zoe" i slowly say.

zoe lasagna ignores me and goes on her phone

"wanna get out of here?" i ask as i lightly tug her arm

"sure, bye zoe i'll see you later" hayley smiles

"bye, i'll see you tonight?" zoe asks her

hayley glances at me and turns back to zoe, "um maybe, i'm not sure" she says nervously

"oh okay, well nice meeting you!" zoe does a fake smile as we walk away

"you're welcome for saving you from her" i say sarcastically

"what? oh yea um thanks" she smiles

"why were you even in the lobby anyways? and why were you talking to her?" i genuinely ask her

"she snapchatted me" hayley presses her lips together

"you have her on snap?" i ask "she's a celebrity. and you know how much i hate her"

"well i guess i just had it from a long time ago i don't know. she's really nice though, maybe you should try to be nicer to her"

"what are y'all friends now?" i ask her

"what? no she just wanted to meet me in person"

"oh okay. makes perfectly good sense hayley" i say rudely as i walk over to the counter to go see payton

"oh my god is that actually payton?" she quietly asks me

i laugh and forget about the conversation we just had. sometimes i forget that they're celebrities, i just met them as annoying kids who stomp on their hotel floors apparently.

"hey payton you ready? i ask him and the woman at the front desk hands him his room key

i wait for them to be finished "yea, i'm ready" he nods, "let's go to my room, i need to drop off my luggage and backpack"
