i walk to chase's rental car and hop in with him

as we buckle up his phone gets a notification. he picks up his phone and reads the text he received. "shit" he mumbles to himself

"what" i ask nosily

"ethan" he says, "he said our venues got pushed back to the last day." he runs his hands through his hair stressed

"what the fuck they can't do that" i argue, "you can't push back our shows three days." i'm so mad. just our luck

"four days. four whole days." he starts the car. we're both mad at this point. "i'll call him when we get there. i bet he set this up, he's probably still mad at me"

"fuck you vidcon" i mumble under my breath. i didn't even want to do this in the first place. but being with chase makes me so comfortable but i know he will never like me like he used to. why did cynthia have to mess this up. why couldn't he just tell me.

but i can't even be mad at him because my feelings for him will always be there. i tried to break them off but something about him is so attractive i just can't look at him without getting butterflies.

he looks over at me staring at him and he smiled to himself. "do you want the aux" he hands me the cord

"i don't have good music taste" honestly i just get embarrassed about my taste because i don't want other people to think i'm lame for the music i like

"okay can you plug in my phone" he hands me his phone unlocked, "go to spotify and hit the 'vibez' playlist" he looks over at the phone and points it to me "yeah that one"

"wow chase you really have a tiktok playlist oh my god" i laugh at him

"okay that was so long ago just ignore it" he shuts off his phone

"geez you're so defensive" i giggle

i turn his phone back on, "wow chase, your background isn't even of me, we're a couple, right?" i smile at him and he rolls his eyes. "can i change it?"

"sure" he grabs his phone for the face id

i take a selfie and set it as his background. ooh it's kinda cute doe "wait i need to send that pic to myself u might see it on the gram later today" he laughs and hands me his phone again

after a lot of small talk we finally get to chickfila. we go through the drive through

"what do you want" he looks over at me

"four count mini meal with hash browns and sweet tea please"

"ew sweet tea" he makes a disgusted face

"just order it"

after he get our food he parks in the parking lot and we just sit and eat together. not that we don't like our fans, but we were too hangry to be nice right now

"okay" i say right before i take a sip of my drink, "i just want to know, who can we tell this to" i ask

"what do you mean" he looks at me with a mouth full of food

i can't help to smile he looks so dumb

"like who can we tell about what's really going on?" i question, "because last night i was with anthony and he's so close to me, i just felt so much guilt not telling him" i sigh

"what? why was he in your room last night?" chase looks over, "and no don't tell him until vidcon is over, he can't know. and ev please don't hang out with him alone"

"what the fuck chase? i can hang out with who i want. we aren't actually dating, you told me this is just for the venues."

"just don't tell him, or anyone, the fans will think you're cheating on me"

"no they won't. me and anthony are just friends" i argue

he goes on his phone and ignores me

"chase?" i ask

"what."

"please don't kiss me anymore, unless it's necessary" i roll my eyes

"how are we supposed to persuade people we're dating if i can't even show you any affection"

"it makes me feel weird. i don't want to kiss you anymore" yes i do..

"okay fine" he goes back on his phone, "holy shit"

"what" i look over

"charli damelio is going to be here"

"oh my god really? we have to meet her"
