Hondo's POV
Zee followed me into headquarters. "Hey Jess," I smiled.
"I got the uniform right here," Jess handed Zee the uniform. "I can't want to see you run the course."
"Suit up," I nodded.
"Alright," Zee went towards the locker room.
"I'm glad I won't have to do that again," Street replied.
"Tan, you're up," I smiled as he got his gear on. "Remember, don't hold back." Tan ran to the training room to find a place. "Off you go, Zee." She did. Jess turned on video and audio to the room. "On the green light, Zee."
"Bright and green," Zee nodded. "Got it."
"Here we go," I sighed. I turned off the mic and pressed the green button. "How do you think she'll do?"
"She'll be okay, but if she scores between 95 and 100, I'll have to hire her," Jess looked at me. "Hicks wants another person on your team."
"Yeah, okay," I nodded.
"Here comes the fight," Street stated. We looked at the screen. Tan was on the floor after Zee knocked him down with is arm. He pulled her leg and she was on the ground. She flipped over on her stomach. "Oh, Tan's got her on her stomach."
"Come on," I sighed. Tan scrambled to grab his gun. Zee turned over and held a nine millimeter at him. "She's got it."
"She's gotta take the shot," Jess stated. She did and hit Tan on the forehead. "She did it."
"Right," I sighed as I turned on the mic. "Great job, Zee. Strip down and meet up with us."
"Sounds good," Zee stated as Tan helped her up. "Thanks."
"Yeah," Tan sighed.
"So," I looked at Jess as I turned the mic off. "What was her score?"
"You're not gonna like it, Hondo," Jess replied.
"Tell me," I sighed. "What's her score?"
"It's higher than yours, Hondo," Jess sighed. "108."
"What was Hondo's?" Zee asked from the door.
"Ninety eight," Jess replied.
"No one's ever been able to beat Hondo's score," Luca replied. "The first one to have done that is his fiancée?"
"I told you it wasn't a good idea," Zee nodded.
"Zee," I stated as she walked out. "I'll be right back."
"Tell her she's hired," Jess stated.
"Alright," I sighed. I walked outside and Zee was leaned up against the car. "Zee, are you okay?"
"Hondo, I don't want to take your job," Zee replied as she turned to looked at me. "I can be part of the team, but I don't know if I can be the lead."
"I'll make it clear to Jess that you don't want to lead," I looked at her. "Come back inside and talk it out." Zee followed me inside. "Jess, she doesn't want to lead."
"She doesn't have to," Jess replied. "This is your squad, Hondo."
"Thank you," Zee sighed.
"So, how'd the rookie do?" Hicks walked in.
"108," I replied.
"Wow!" Hicks exclaimed. "Where have you been hiding, little lady?"
"I was finishing my degree," Zee nodded. "I scored the way I did because of an internship I took at the FBI as soon as I graduated high school." She looked at him. "I had a great hand to hand combat coach in Quantico, and I know I'm going to benefit this team."
