Zee's POV
I was cooking dinner as I heard the front door closed. "I hope you're hungry," I stated. I felt a pair of arms snake around my waist and I smiled. "How was work?"
"Same old, same old, baby," Honda replied.
"I'm sure you won't mind a home-cooked meal," I nodded. "Could you set the table, please?"
"Hey, uhm, we have a, uh, houseguest," Hondo stated.
"Did we go through your whole team already?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's my turn, again," Hondo let go of me.
"Can't he stay at Street's?" I asked. "My college graduation is tomorrow. I don't want to have to worry about anything else."
"Please?" Hondo asked.
"As long as he doesn't get in my way," I sighed as I put the food in serving bowls. "Make the table for three." Hondo smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Luca, you don't have to keep hiding in the living room." He shyly walked into the kitchen. "Hey, I know you're not shy." I put the dishes in the sink. "Now, could you please set the table? One of you?"
"I'll do it," Luca nodded.
"Thank you," I smiled. I went to the living room and grabbed a box. I walked upstairs with it. I put it on the bed and saw Hondo walk in. "You sure Luca can handle setting the table by himself?"
"He can handle a couple minutes without me," Hondo nodded. "So, what's in the box?"
"My dress for graduation," I replied. I got out my pocket knife from my nightstand. I cut open the box and pulled out my dress. "What do you think?"
"It's a little much for graduation, don't you think?" Hondo asked.
"No," I nodded. "I had my prom dress shortened for my high school graduation because I didn't want my parents buying me a whole new one." I looked at Hondo as I hung it on the mirror. "I really like it for my college graduation."
"Are you parents going to be there?" Hondo asked.
"I sent out the invitations for the graduation and the party," I shrugged. "If they show up, they show up."
"So, you never told me why you and your parents stopped talking," Hondo sat on the bed. I turned to look at him. "You gotta tell me sometime and I figured now would be good. It's gonna take him a while to set the table."
"My parents never agreed with me on the fact that I wanted to date you as soon as I turned sixteen, because you're seven years older than me. They were okay with us being friends, but never in a relationship. We got into a relationship on the down low," I sighed. "I mean, we just threw together a date when I was fourteen and we just made that our official date. I highly doubt they'll talk to me when they find out that I've been dating you since I was fourteen, and I don't think they're gonna even want to talk to me after I mention the fact that we're engaged." Hondo put his hands on my waist. "So, with that being said, you're never going to ever get an appropriate sit down with my parents to meet them."
"And I thought I had a bad childhood growing up," Hondo replied.
"Just because my dad is a surgeon and my mom is a criminal defense attorney, doesn't mean I had all the finer things in life," I replied. "Honestly, I don't mind it. If my parents want to keep me from being happy, then I will happily walk away with the man of my dreams." The doorbell rang. "Time for dinner and I gotta get the door." We walked downstairs and I opened the front door. "Hi, can I help you?"
"I have a delivery for a Zendaya Rich," the guy replied. He handed me a small black box. "That's yours."
"Thank you," I replied. He walked away. "Uhm." I closed the door and Hondo was standing at the bottom of the stairs. "That wasn't a normal delivery guy."
