Chapter 9

[Midoriya's POV]

[Last week ago]

"So you want my assistance...Midoriya?" The old man said to me after I asked him a favor and said the plan I formed.

I look at the monitor where he now sits on a chair, that behind of it has these machines attach to him, "yeah, I just need that favor, nothing more nothing less" I answered him casually.

"You do realized that you're plan is a bit risky. Not only to you, but to the organization as well" even though he has no eyes anymore, I can feel that he stares at me very intensely.

We're the only ones awake in this empty bar  area, I never dare to ask anything to anybody for a favor, especially to Shigiraki. He'll just scolded me saying this is too selfish or whatever.

I just need his help, 'cause he has the quirk that I need for him to do.

"I'm aware of that, that is why I need your assistance" I said it seriously.

It was only a few seconds of silence but it  felt like hours to wait his response. And then...

"Okay, I'll help you" I felt joy for a few millisecond but, "in one condition" he broke that joy.

"What is it?" I just ask.

"Kurogiri will help you"

"Why?"

"You will be going to a very secured facility, therefore, you need a passage way to go in and out easily" yeah, I know that. I can manage that using my quirk.

But, I think using Kurogiri is the smartest thing to do in this plan of mine, "okay, I'm fine with that"

"Excellent. Kurogiri" and with that, Kurogiri suddenly appeared from the shadows beside the T.V. Wait, is he always there from the very beginning?! "You know what to do, yes?"

"Yes, Master" he answered with a bow.

Hmmm... With Kurogiri's help, it will work as planned. But, for now...

"If that's all you want from me for my favor, then I'm going to my bed and catch my beauty sleep. Good night everybody" I said jokingly and started walking towards the back door where my room is, but....

"So...you're really doing this" he stopped me midway, "you really do care for that boy. But I was wondering if it is for love or... for your selfish needs. Which is it Midoriya?"

I didn't answer him immediately, yet I was curious of why he is asking me to that sudden question.

However, I answered him. I already knew my answer from the very start, but I don't feel like answering it honestly.

I just smiled but I didn't look at the monitor, I just lower my head to hide my expression, "who knows?" I answered him a question instead, and then left the room.

[Back to the present]

"Midoriya... Midoriya..."

"Huh?" My sense of the present came back to me when Shoto called out to me.

"Are you okay Midoriya? It's like you're not yourself today. I knew it, this is actually a bad decision to do after all" he said with a gloomy aura around him.

He look so cute when he feels so gloomy as well, but I don't like it that I'm the reason why he is feeling that way.

I pat his head and gave him my biggest smile to make him all better again, "sorry to make you worry Shoto. I just thought about something, that's why I was spacing out earlier"
