BILL

My mom called me downstairs and I looked outside and it was partially daylight, so I assumed it was 8 or 8:30.

I went downstairs and slumped down in my chair in the kitchen.

My mom looked at me concerned, "What's wrong, Bill?"

I kind of rolled my eyes a bit. "Mom it's literally Monday! Don't ask questions that you already know the answer too"

She went quiet. By the expression on her face, you could tell she was a little hurt. But did I care?

No.

I said bye to Georgie and my mom and walked out the door.

As I was walking on the sidewalk I couldn't help but think about life without my family.

I mean I love them but sometimes mom can be a bit too much and Georgie can be a little too needy .

I wonder what life would be like on my own.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice a boy walk into me.

We both fell, obviously.

However there was something different about him.

I got a closer look at him, and he was so damn gorgeous.

(No homo though)

His hazel eyes were just so unique and different, I've never seen anything like them.

And he curly hair, ahh. I envied it.

And all I could say was ...

"Watch were you're going next time, bird boy!"
