"Why don't you kids go into the entertainment room while us adults sit here and chat," Mrs. Moore said sweetly and we were ushered downstairs into what looked like a game room/man cave.

"Would you ladies like a drink?" The older one said huskily, "No? How about you?" He directed towards Mary. She rolled her eyes and laughed in his face.

"No thanks," She said.

"So what's your sign?" A voice whispered in my ear.

I glared at him and smiled sickly sweet, "Stop,"

"Fiesty... I like that," He practically purred.

The older one stood up, "Jake, let's go get some drinks for the ladies,"

The boy, Jake, who had sat behind me stood up and went upstairs with him. There were just the younger brothers left now.

"Sorry about them," The boy who looked about fifteen said, "I'm Lucas, and 15. The older one is Marcus, who's 18, and Jake who's 17,"

"It's okay," Mary says coolly.

Elizabeth looks down and I smile seeing her cheeks heat up. I could definitely see Lucas and Lizzy getting together. But Mary and Marcus and Jake and I? I don't think so...

"I'm Mary, 18, that's Talia who's 17, and then Elizbeth who's also fifteen," She winks at Elizabeth and her face heats up even more. Kathryn pokes Mary, making her realize she forgot to introduce her, "Oh! And this is Kathryn who's seven,"

"That's so cool! This is Jordan, who's also seven," Lucas answered.

Footsteps then declined down the stairs and I rolled my eyes when Jake handed me my drink, his smirk never faltering.

"So, ladies, where are you from?" Marcus said, slinging his arm around Mary.

"Nowhere you need to know," She said harshly. Her facial expression screamed Take a Hint! which reminded me of a song...

"Do you have karaoke?" I asked Jake sweetly. He smiled and nodded over to a machine.

I stood up, grabbed Mary's wrist and dragged her over there. Recognizing the machine as the same one at home, I punched in the number 33 and gave her a smile, "Let's do this,"

Take a Hint came on and we began to sing, dancing around the boys.

La La la la la la la

La la la la la la la

Why am I always hit on by the boys I never like

I can always see ‘em coming, from the left and from the right

I don’t want to be a priss, I just try to be polite

But it always seems to bite me in the-

Ask me for my number, yeah, you put me on the spot

You think that we should hook-up, but I think that we should not

You had me at hello, then you opened up your mouth

And that is when it started going south

Oh!

Get your hands off my hips, ‘fore I’ll punch you in the lips

Stop your staring at my— Hey!

Take a hint, take a hint

No you can’t buy me a drink, let me tell you what I think

I think you could use a mint

Take a hint, take a hint

La, La, La….

T-take a hint, take a hint

La, La, La….

I guess you still don’t get it, so let’s take it from the top

You asked me what my sign is, and I told you it was Stop

And if I had a dime for every name that you just dropped

You’d be here and I’d be on a yacht

Oh!

Get your hands off my hips, ‘fore I’ll punch you in the lips

Stop your staring at my— Hey!

Take a hint, take a hint

No you can’t buy me a drink, let me tell you what I think

I think you could use a mint

Take a hint, take a hint

La, La, La….

T-take a hint, take a hint

La, La, La….

What about “no” don’t you get

So go and tell your friends I’m not really interested

It’s about time that you’re leavin’ I’m gonna count to three and

Open my eyes and

You’ll be gone

One

Get your hands off my—

Two.

Or I’ll punch you in the—

Three.

Stop your staring at my— Hey!

Take a hint, take a hint

I am not your missing link

Let me tell you what I think

I think you could use a mint

Take a hint, take a hint

Take a hint, take a hint

Woah!

Get your hands off my hips, ‘fore I’ll punch you in the lips

Stop your staring at my— Hey!

Take a hint, take a hint

La, La, La….

T-take a hint, take a hint

La, La, La….

Laughing at the boys' expressions, we sat back down next to our sisters, just rolling our eyes at the look of lust coming from the boys. Finally, our mother called down, "Girls! It's time to go!"

"Goodbye!" I sang, walking upstairs.

Once out of the house, Mary and I laughed the whole way to our house, "That was so fun!"

"Definitely," I replied.

"We've really gotta go big, man!" She cried and I laughed.

"Absolutely! 'Night sis!"

"Goodnight!"

Making the journey up three flights of steps, I made it to my room and collapsed on my bed. I had just shown up not only one, but two sex Gods that happen to be our neighbors. Could this day honestly get any better?
