"Fuck! . . I have to find a way to make this work. There has to be more to this than meets the eye. . ." I couldn't just give up here, not after having a chance to start over.

I have to find a way to get stronger!

Training would start within seven sunrises is what the king said, so seven days. I had that much time to figure out a way to increase my stats so I wouldn't be so behind when training began. The best way to do that was to research, right?

This was actually perfect for me since studying was my only hobby back at home. After somewhat settling and cleaning my room I asked the servant from before where the library in this place was. "The archives you mean? Two floors above us. . . Ugh."

Wow. How rude.

The woman didn't seem to have much respect for me at all and honestly? It only motivated me more to get stronger than I am now. Even here the strong rule the weak applies, although much more deadly than it had been back on earth. If I want to win, If I want to survive then I need to get strong quickly.

Not only that but I truthfully just really want to rub it in to these people's faces when I am powerful enough because that feeling? Oh, that feeling couldn't be beaten by anything.

I thank her bluntly before tracing my steps back to the stairs my classmates had gone up minutes before, considering if I should take a quick look around. The area already looked far more luxurious than my own room after all, and it was just the corridors! It was a given that I'm curious about how lavish the rooms were but considering the number of guards walking on this floor I'd probably get caught before going too far. They might try to attack me with magic or something, maybe even turn me into a toad.

Unconsciously I shivered at the thought.

With that, I continue to make my way up and up until I reached the library. A tad disappointed. "When I get money I'm going to buy myself my own fancy little house that'll put this castle to shame. . ." I bellowed before being taken aback by the large archives I had walked into.

It was much dirtier than my room was honestly, dust everywhere and cobwebs hanging from the bookshelves. It was large though, that much was certain. It looked like it could be lavish if it was cleaned properly. The floor was a dark, hardwood that was splintered here and there. It would be dangerous to walk around barefoot. The ceiling was lit with large chandeliers, orbs of light hanging on each one. At the very back of the library was a large, coloured glass panel. It looked like the image of a woman was on it but it was too dusty and murky to tell.

"Hello? . . ." I tried to see if anyone was there but I got no response back. I've already come this far so there was no turning back. With that in mind, I slowly entered further into the large study, looking around.

The books were plentiful but they didn't seem to be organized very well. It was hard to find anything specific in here, it was so disorderly! I needed to find out how to raise my stats and how to level up. . .

After searching for a while and getting frustrated, I decided to just clean the place up before studying anything because maybe that would help me get what I needed.

It took a couple of hours but after moving books to their correct places and dusting a couple of things off but eventually, I cleaned up a small area for myself to study in the corner of the room, having gathered all the books I may need and setting them on the ground beside me. I took a seat and picked up a book, dusting off the cover so I could read it. "Magic: Beginner level. . . Could be useful." With that, I began thoroughly looking through the pages.

Luckily I as well as my classmates could understand the human language spoken here so reading wasn't that hard. However, books in different languages were highly difficult.
