The Wrong Potter

Chapter 9

Holidays were coming around very fast, and Hayley couldn't be more happy. She didn't have to spend it with her family.
All they knew was that she and Abi were going to be "Staying with the Dursley's". Hayley would collect Abi from the station and spend the night at the leaky cauldron.

Hayley had been looking around at some nice houses and the day after holidays started the keys to the house would be mailed to her. Abi, and Hayley would be spending Christmas together as a small family, there was one other person that Hayley wanted to spend Christmas with, she just didn't know if he wanted to.

Hayley was on her way to go talk to Professor Lupin. She had asked to meet with him to ask him about spending Christmas with her and Abi. She was all cheery until she heard Brandon's voice.

"Dad asked if you wanted to come over to the potter home for Christmas, with those two the house is going to be quiet"

By "those two" she could only assume that he meant Abi and her. it's sad how little regard , he has for his sisters.

"I would love to Brandon, however, our friendship was tarnished years ago, and i would rather not spend my time around your father"

"Oh please, Uncle Padfoot is a gloomy guss all the time, we need someone to spread some happiness around the house"

"I'll have to think about it"

that was the last Hayley heard before the door was slammed in her face, clearly, Brandon saw and couldn't miss the chance to upstage his sister another time.

"I hope you heard that conversation, professor lupin is comming with me for Christmas, Whilst you and Hayley are moping floors with the Dursleys"

" Brandon do you not understand English, he said maybe meaning not likely, get that through your thick head"

Of course, Brandon couldn't stand to be told by his sister, so he walked away with an angry scowl on his face. Hayley couldn't help the satisfied smirk that was plastered on her face. Finally, she remembered why she was here she nocked on professor lupin's office

"Come in," he said, she could tell that he was frustrated, who wouldnt be after an encounter with Brandon.

"Ah Hayley, what can I for you"

Without even thinking she launched into her story, she told him that her and abi wernt spending Christmas or summer with the Dursleys. and how she and abi would be living on there own. professor lupins' face had multiple emotions during the entire time.

"Do you understand how risky this is hayley"

"Yes, but they havent ever given a shit about me before"

"So you came to ask me to spend Christmas With you and Abi"

"Yes"

"I would love to"

"Really"

"Of course"

For the first time in a while Hayley walked out of that office with a smile on her face
