Hayley woke up the following morning to Abi yelling from the bathroom
"Hayley im bleeding" Said Abi crying in the bathroom
Hayley didn't even bother to put on her slippers before flying out of her bedroom. she arrived in the bathroom in about 10 seconds flat.
"What happening," She said out of breath
"Look into the toilet bowl," said abi.
Hayley looked into the bowl to see the water now red. Hayley's worry immediately died.
"Abi, you scared me"
"What do you mean I scared you, I'm dying"
"How old are you Abi"
"11"
"You've just started your period, you have nothing to worry about"
"what the hell is a period"
Hayley smiled. "Welcome to the world of a woman," she thought.
Without answering, she went to the bathroom cupboard and grabbed a pad.
"Put this in your underwear, the wings wrap around and keep it secure," said Hayley passing Abi the pad
"You still haven't told me what a period is"
" every 28 days a girl bleeds down there, it normally lasts for a week. it lets you have children, and means that you are now a woman"
"I don't want to be a woman, im still a child"
Hayley laughed.
"You're still a child Abi, you're just growing up"
"Oh Okay"
"Put the pad on, and then meet me in the kitchen, i'll have breakfast ready," said Hayley walking out of the bathroom to give Abi some privacy.
Hayley decided to just get some pancake ingredients out. She knew that abi would want to help her make the batter.
"Oh pancakes, can I help," said abi from the door
"That was fast, but sure"
Abi ran to the cabinet and grabbed out the frying pan.
"Be careful when turning that on Abi, don't burn yourself"
"Don't worry Hayley, im all good with it" Said abi
" If you say so," said Hayley
When the girl were finished the batter, Hayley somehow managed to spill some on Abi. im assuming you can guess what happened next.
"Oh it's on" Said abi.
let's just say a full food fight ensued. While Abi copped the most of it, Hayley, Managed to get fair competition. the pancakes forgotten, the girl layed laughing on the floor. Enjoying themselves for the first time in 10 years
