Hayley POV
I sigh. I have to go back to the castle now, and leave Abi. The doctors said that she should be out in a couple of days.

I mean...I have to give Brandon some credit. He did tell me Abi was in the hospital. I couldn't understand why though

As soon as I flew into Dumbledores office I see two very familiar faces. Lily and James potter are looking right back at me. I don't really pay much attention to them. I kinda just expected to Floo in, then walk straight past Dumbledore back to the Slytherin common room. But hey when has anything ever worked out in my favour.

"I do not appreciate students just walking in here and using my Floo without permission" says Dumbledore

"Meh" I say walking out

"Hayley potter get back here and apologise to the headmaster now" said James, the fury showing in his eyes

"Of what, you'll do to me what you did to Haley" I say

His face pails ever so slightly, but turns to his normal domineer in a matter of seconds

"She deserved what she got"

"She didn't deserve a single piece of shit. She did nothing wrong. She's just a kid who hasn't had a childhood"

I have had enough. I walk out of the headmasters office and decide to go chill by the lake. I would attend classes but I have potions, and I don't think I could keep my mask up during that lesson

"You know I'm awfully surprised to see you not in class" says Proffesor lupin

I turn my head. Can't he just find the common courtesy to leave me alone. I'm not in class for a reason you stupid person. Why can't he take the hint

"Well, I'm not in the mood" I say

"A smart girl like you shouldn't be skipping"

"A smart girl like me. Hate to break it to you but I'm not good for anything"

"Nonsense, when did you start believing that"

After a while, you just stop arguing. You start believing what your parents say. As much as I don't like them I'm not old enough to move out yet.

"It's just the truth" 

"Hayley what's wrong"

"you can't just come here and  act all friendly with me" 

"I know that, im just trying to mend our friendship"

"You can't expect to leave Abi and I for 7 Years and then act friendly"

"I did try to write, but I know you never got the letters" 

I sigh. he was right.  I never got any letters. to be fair though I never GET letters. no one wants to write to the disappointment of a sister to the boy who lived. 

Maybe I'm in the wrong. maybe I should consider the problems before I jump to conclusions. 

Maybe I should hear him out 

Maybe I should listen 

Maybe I should give him a second chance
