Calum's POV
As I bang on the door of the address that Michael sent me. He explained everything that was going on with his sister and why he wanted me to come here. I imminently say yes because it reminded me of that girl on the bus and I wanted to help.
Nobody was answering and nobody was making any noise and I started to get worried. Either I was at the wrong house or something bad has happened to her, apparently her name is Emma as Michael told me.
My phone vibrated in my pocket and the caller I.D. reads 'Michael'.
"Hello?"
"Is she okay? Are you there? Where is she? What happened?"
"The door is locked and she isn't making any noise so I can't get in. Mikey, I think something happened to her.""No, no, no. I'm almost there and I have a key so I will be there soon, keep trying for open windows and unlocked doors." And then he hung up.
I searched the whole outside of the house looking for a way in the house, but everything was locked and I wasn't planning on breaking a window to get in because I'm not paying for it or risking an alarm going off.
By the time I got back to the front of the house, Michael was standing my the front door, looking through the keys trying to find the one to Emma's house. Once he got in I heard him screaming Emma's name.
"Emma!' "Emma. Where are you?" he continues to scream. No response.
I ran into the house after him and ran upstairs trying to find her.
I see that the bathroom door is closed so I run up to it and put my ear to it. I hear absolutely nothing and it was locked. I kicked the door down just to find a body laying on the ground.
"Michael! Call 911!" I scream and then hear heavy footsteps running up the stairs. Seconds later Michael is standing in the doorway with phone to his ear talking to a 911 operator.
"Please help me. My sister. She tried to kill herself and there is an empty bottle of pills and she is passed out on the floor. Oh my god, please help me!" Michael sobbed as he kneeled down and held Emma in his arms.
It took my a minute to realize this, but thats the girl that rides the bus. That's the girl that was crying the first day I saw her through the bus window. That was Emma? Holy shit. No wonder she was crying, she was suicidal. She was alone. And if she survives this, I am going to make sure she isn't alone anymore. When she wakes up, we will officially meet.
