Not An Actual Update (But there is art of the sides)

(I'd also want to apologize for not updating often, schoolwork is being packed in right now, yet again I'm so sorry for that.)
All of the sides outfits are based off of the steampunk-ish/victorian style of clothing, and yes I'll try to give you some background so this update doesn't seem like a complete waste.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The decision to make everyone wear clothing from this era is how Victorian and/or steampunk clothing has a connotation of fear and horror, which describes how a majority of the town feels when the new king starts his rule. King Deon himself starts to imbrase this, even making his own guards wear uniforms in this style.

I wanted Patton to have a more laid-back version of a victorian outfit, while catering to the stylistic choices of that time period, so I gave him more of a lolita spin to the victorian outfit

I wanted Patton to have a more laid-back version of a victorian outfit, while catering to the stylistic choices of that time period, so I gave him more of a lolita spin to the victorian outfit. Since Patton is a caretaker I didn't want him to keep the rectangular shape to his glasses, because that typically gives of the impression of a stricter personality, so giving Patton rounder glasses makes him look more joyful and gives him less of a imperious depiction.

Virgil on the other hand, needed to cater to the connotations of victorian. Virgil is the opinion editor of newspapers, as well as a normal artical writer. Before the rule of king Deon came into play he used to write short stories that would be dark even in today's society, (which isn't saying a lot, but you get my point.) So I made sure there is a bit of edge to his design, like making his face more angular than the others, as well as the ruffles coming out from underneath his suit. I wanted Virgil to have more of a Edgar Allen Poe feel to him, but honestly he gives off more of a Tim Burton vibe if you ask me.

Roman, of course needed to have his princely vibe while in uniform, but not feel like it would outshine the king. Roman being the kings number one defender gets all the special treatment, that being a regular wash of his uniform of course. I've decided to make the uniforms gray, so both Roman and Remus can have a meeting point between their main colors in their normal outfits.

Logan's outfit is based off of stereotypical barbershop quartet and old bartender outfits. Now the concept may seem out of place do too the fact that he's a scientist and a school teacher, but I enjoy the symbolism of how a man with a very serious demeanor can also be someone you could let all your emotions out to, whilst he gives you the best options he can to help you throughout those rough patches, even if he doesn't understand his own emotions half the time.

I wanted to give Deceit a more of a typical gold steampunk vest and hat to give off a vibe that he is/can be like any other person, and to make it seem like his last ditch attempt to make any money wasn't to become a magician. Deceit is quite a unique case in regards to his persistent lying and his half snake appearance. To make himself less terrifying to his audience he makes it part of his magic act where he would talk/answer himself using one half of his body, creating an identity for each half of him if you will.

This drawing of Remus is an older concept sketch, Remus now has a scar along the left side of his face and his body, yet the blood stained guard outfit is still the same. (Yes, he and Roman are both guards, get over it.) I wanted to prove through Remus's outfit being stained and tattered that he will give up at nothing to get out of trouble through fighting, while his brother would rather stand back and look intimidating, instead of getting himself into unnessecary trouble. Yet if the scenario would call for Roman to fight with all his might, you know he'll give two-hundred percent.

3.) Roman feels like he must protect his brother at all cost, even though Remus is tougher than him.

4.) Remus was almost sold into a child sex ring.

5.) The only way Patton figured out about the rebellion against the leader was from Virgil leaving the house for the first time months, causing him to be concerned.

6.) Deceit had special connections to Remus, which in turn made it easy for Deceit to recruit Remus into the rebellion.

7.) Logan has been analyzing every mental disorder, because he feels like nobody else, creating major paranoia.
