"Jungkook, come on let's get you in bed baby, I'm sure you're really tired." Y/N put her arm around him as her and Namjoon walked him into his home.

"We're going to send Jin to get your new prescriptions, the doctor thinks they will be more effective in reducing the pain." Namjoon tried to focus on the positives, knowing Jungkook had gone through some horrible nightmare he couldn't even imagine.

"That's good." Jungkook mumbled as they helped him to to the bed. Y/N fluffed the pillows and braced herself as she and Namjoon helped lower him to the bed. They stood there awkwardly for a moment, observing him with much concern as he barely blinked staring right through them.

"Umm...are you hungry? Or thirsty?" Y/N asked, breaking the silence finally.

"Just tired." He answered in monotone.

"Okay baby. You sleep, I'll just be over hear quietly playing a game, let me know if you need anything."

"Uh huh." He muttered, his eyelids closing.

Several days later, they were able to get him to come out of the bedroom and be apart of the family again; although, he only sat on the couch silently, watching the baby play with her toys as everyone conversed amongst themselves, making sure not to get too loud and rowdy.

"Jungkook, we set the deck up with some canvases and paint, the weather's just fine and it's cloudy so no sun to worry about, would you like to paint with us?" Namjoon asked him as he motioned to Jimin to watch the baby.

He didn't say a word but moved to get up and Namjoon and Jin jumped over to help him.
"Y/N thought maybe you would like to paint the scenery here, you've been so busy since you moved in, you really haven't had time to enjoy things like this." Jin told him, patting him on the back, "You are lucky to have a wife like her."

Jungkook fully agreed, but he really couldn't muster up the energy to let him know. It was as if someone had tied his voice to a cinder block and thrown it overboard, landing on the sea floor and making it quite the task just for him to mumble anymore. He was afraid his voice would be gone forever as it was getting progressively worse, but how could he tell anyone when it exhausted him so much just to think about it?

It turned out that painting all day was exactly what he needed, although they didn't realize he would literally be out there until dinner time perfecting his masterpiece.

"Hey, Y/N, can I talk to you for a moment?" Namjoon called, his head barely poked outside the door. Jungkook looked at her solemnly, his hand frozen mid stroke. "I'll be back in just a moment, you won't be alone, I'll be watching from the window, okay?"

Jungkook turned his head and continued his work on the canvas, making broad strokes of golden orange as his sky.

"What's going on?" Y/N asked him as she dipped inside the door, her eyes still on her husband.

"I just got a call from the manager, the nerve of this guy!" He huffed as he leaned against the wall, "He said we all need to come back to work tomorrow, including Jungkook."

Her mouth dropped open and she folded her arms, "What the hell is his malfunction?"

Namjoon shook his head, "I don't know, but none of the other managers can do anything about it, I even went straight to PD, apparently this dude has authority over everyone about this and whomever doesn't show up, is getting fired."

"What? Why can't PD do anything? He's the boss! I honestly don't know how that damn manager hasn't been locked up already anyways!"

"Yeah, it's really fishy. We all know he had something to do with Jungkook getting kidnapped.....if we could just prove it."
