A/N: I changed Harry's best friends to Liam and Niall, for plot reasons :) x

Harry had arrived half an hour ago. He has his skinny jeans on, and an old band shirt. Sending Niall a text that he was on his way to the party. He sets his phone in the table before making his ways down the hall an to the other side of the dorm house. Miraculously Niall ended up convincing their dorm advisor to let them have the party in the lounging room. And as usual  wasn't gonna waste any privilege he could get.

The door was open, so Harry just walked in and immediately goes to the guys when he sees Niall and Liam talking. Harry waves to them and joins in on their conversation that was really about nothing. Niall ends up wandering off after a few minutes, just as five more people walked in. The Irish lad then comes back with a drink in his hand.

"Well it's good to see that people are actually starting to come." Niall said making a face and then leaving with another can of beer in his hand.

"Niall stop drinking! The party hasn't even started yet!" Liam said exasperated, but doesn't really showing much effort to stop the younger lad for drinking yet another beer.

More people start coming and suddenly the room was packed, and music sounding and Niall was dancing with a petite brunette that Harry think he has never seen in his life. Well, a lot of people were people Niall has never seen on his life if he is being honest. Niall's just a really talkative people person.

As the night went on, he danced with a few people a little, drank a bit too but then he lost sight of Niall and Louis with a group of friends that grabbed him. Harry was pulled around, and paraded almost as the group took him to the dance floor, then to the make-shift bar Liam has set up. The made him play a game of truth or dare, and a small round of beer-pong. Now they were all sitting down and Harry wasn't the centre of attention to his delight.

There were three of them, one girl and two guys. The girl sat between the two very good looking boys; she was short and thin and smoking a blunt. The taller of the two guys was laid back scanning the room in his dark handsome stranger way while the more muscular one was whispering in the girls ear as the two of them laughed. The muscular one tells the tall one what I could assume was some type of joke, he laughs too. They were the type of people that Harry thought lived second lives as super-spies. They were cool and powerful and never out spoken. Moments later while Harry was boredly staring at his drink Mr. tall dark handsome stranger himself had come up to him and asks, "You're the co-captain of the football team, right?"

Raising an eyebrow Harry nods, and takes a small sip of his drink. "Yeah...why?"

"My friends thought that we should tell you that your girlfriend," cool guy says as he holds his own drink in his hand, "girl about..yae tall," he says holding his hand up to just bellow his chin. "Brown eyes and matching hair. Yeah she went to a closet with another guy just a few minutes ago. My mates said something about the guy code and shit, so they volunteered me to tell you."

Harry frowns at that and nods to the guy before walking away. His mind start racing, and then his jaw clenches in realization. This is why Maddison didn't ever want him to go outside of the dorm with her or anything. He drinks the rest o his drink and drops the cup to the already messy ground. Burning rage hissed through Harry's body like deathly poison, screeching a demanded release in the form of unwanted violence. It was like a volcano erupting; fury sweeping off him like ferocious waves. The wrath consumed like, engulfing his moralities and destroying the boundaries of sensibility. He opes almost every closet, and then when he gets to the one where Maddison was. Harry glares hard at the two teens that continued to suck face not even noticing that they were caught.

"Tell me when you two are done, cause I'd really like to give a proper goodbye to my ex girlfriend." Harry says with his jaw clenched and his arms folded over his chest.

They sprung apart, and Harry just rolls his eyes and walks away before either could say anything. He doesn't say bye to the guys, he just leaves. The night air hits his face, and he shoves his hands in the pockets of his jacket. The moon looked pale and wan, as if it shouldn't be up on a night like this. It rose unwillingly and hung like an ill specter. Silhouetted against it, dim and hazy through the dampness which rose from the unwholesome fens, stood the assorted towers. Harry let the sight calm him as he stumbled only slightly down the streets. He could have just went back to his dorm room, but he needed air, and too many bad vibes were back at the university right now. He walks and walk, and then stops to take a seat on the cold metal bench.

The sad thing is...he didn't even feel sad about the break up. Somehow now he is light again. Instead of being irritated he is surprised to find it makes him almost grin. Maybe it's because he knew that it was bound to happen due to their constant distance from each other. He was almost in a full out smile until he heard the noise of glass breaking, and people screaming. Harry stands quickly, and (a/n: stupidly) runs in the direction of the sound to see what the commotion was about. He stops when he sees bright flickers of red, orange, and yellow floating to the sky.

A plume of fire exploded into the blackness, the flame rolling outwards like the smoke of a mushroom cloud. The idea of the firefighters rushing in was ludicrous, it was an inferno fuelled by the gallons of accelerant in the flats. The heat was oppressive even from two hundred yards away. The onlookers had been excited at first, snapping pictures to upload to friends and generally behaving like a crowd on bonfire night. But then a subtle shift in the wind direction brought noxious smoke and ash raining down into their hair and eyes. With hands and clothing clamped to their mouths they fled to their upmarket cars. It was chaos as they all tried to leave at once, honking their horns and struggling to see through the grey debris that coated their windshields. Harry was just about to run away as well, but ends up running after a little girl who was heading back inside. Her parents were screaming for her to stop, but the little girl didn't seem to care.

She gets inside, and Harry's just outside of the inferno with hesitant eyes. Harry groans and pulls the collar of his shirt up to block the smell of smoke from entering his lungs, as he sprints into the building. Harry looks around, and he can hear a crying from somewhere near. Turning in a circle, the lad has to squint his eyes so he can see through the smoke and flames. He heard the little girl scream, a voice of pure terror that sounded wrong in her childish voice. He made his way to her as fast as he could with his inability to see clearly, as her screams faded into ragged sobs.

He gets to her finally, and sees the little girl curled up with a teddy in her arms. Harry lets out a relived sigh and then scoops her up, putting the little girl over his shoulder. Harry has to stop constantly and try to find different ways to exit cause of the fire and falling pieces of burning wood that lands in his way.

Then it happens.

A giant burning piece of staircase was falling at and angle toward them. Harry gasps and holds his hand out as if to block the fire. Suddenly, the sound of roaring wind could be heard and then it wasn't so hot anymore. Harry opens his eyes and sees a swirl of white forming like a watering hoes coming from out of his hand. Gasping he pulls his hand back and then it stops. in front of him was a clear of all fire, and just burnt and charred from the harshness from the fire. All to his sides and behind him though was still filled with fire. Given that, Harry continues his way out and outside of the burning building.

Once out, the family of the little girl immediately goes to him taking their daughter. The father and mother hug Harry tightly as a thank you, and Harry reassures them that it's alright. He walks away and ignores his thoughts, as he just focused on the sirens in the distance.
