Chapter 10

"Uh...any particular reason why you're breaking technology so early in the morning? We've got a couple of centuries before they take over humanity so I think you're safe." Zayn says as he awkward limps into the room. He's got a boot on his broken leg, and it's been weird for him to walk. Given the fact that he's just started walking in it like a day ago.

"Not my fault your tv remote isn't working." His strange best friend said as the blue eyed lad glared at the screen.

Zayn rolled his eyes and walked over to the couch, and trying to ignore the heavy weight that is his hospital boot on his right leg. The house was empty with only the two best friends in it. The rest of the family was out doing their own thing. His dad at a meeting, his mom shopping, and Doniya and Waliyha were with their boyfriends, and Safaa was at her friend's house for a sleepover with he rest of her swim team. He sits down, and elevates his leg on the coffee table, as he takes the remote from Louis and looks at the back of it. "You knocked one of the batteries out of the back you genius," Zayn says rolling his eyes.

"And who's bright idea was it to lose the cover for the back of the remote mister 'I need it for a tensile for this sick art piece I'm making'." Louis says as he just forgets about the tv, and lays back into the comfy couch.

"Are you ever not sarcastic?"

"Sarcasm is my best defence."

Zayn rolls his eyes again, and grabs a small pillow holding it to his chest. He sighs and then looks at his phone that was rested on the table on the side of the couch. He had just gotten done texting with Harry, and he's really contemplating rather he should call or text him or something. His top row of pearly whites captured on his bottom pink lip softly as a soft sigh escaped him. Louis rolls his eyes at him, but smiles knowingly at his best mate because he knows him. He knows the look Zayn gets when he really likes a person or wants to bone them, as the duty of a best friend he took it upon himself to know these things.

"This is really pathetic. You two obviously like one another, so why not just date already? It's been like three and a half weeks. Have you even been on a date?"

His blush burned through his cheeks and Zayn's face felt like a hot oven. He suddenly felt awkward as he attempted to hide his rosy cheeks behind his skinny fingers. Groaning in embarrassment, Zayn huffs out an awkward laugh, before letting his hands fall from his face. "No...well yes...but their never like official dates." he says sighing, "like the day when people could start visiting me at the hospital, he stayed with me from the time classes were over till the nurses had to kick him out their selves. Then everyday after I could leave the hospital we've been going to restaurants and cute cafes together, and we'd hold hands sometimes, and...I just don't know Lou.."

"Well first of, all dates are official. Secondly, as I said it's been a month for fucks sake! It's obvious that you both like each other, so one of you need to make a move, before I turn into a relationship guru or something." the feather haired lad said as he stands and pulls his jacket on. "So maul that over now, cause I have to go. Liam says he wants to go on a one month anniversary celebration."

"Oh yeah speaking of you two, how's that going?" Zayn asked as he basically almost forgets that his best mate has a boyfriend, that so happens to be the best friend of the guy who he wants to be his boyfriend.

"Let's just say Liam is very thorough," Louis said unable to resist freaking Zayn out. The two sat at Zayn's house together, almost a full week after the accident. It was after school, and buzz about zayn and the superhero was all around town and probably the world.

"Dude! Don't speak of... you know ever again. I do not want to picture you two getting freaky..."

"Multiple, multiple times," Louis continued ignoring Zayn's sounds of protest. "In many different positions and man, he does this thing with his tongue..."
