I dragged my feet against the carpet as I made my way into my sisters room. Someone was leaving a voice mail on her phone.
"Jewel?" I recognized McKenna's voice on the spot. "Hey, did you put those papers in your sisters pillow yet? I really appritiate it! Bye."
My jaw flew open. Jewel was helping McKenna? Jewel put McKenna's papers in my pillow? Why? Why would my own freaking sister betray me? It didn't make any sense. I shook my head a second before Jewel walked in.
"What are you doing in here?" She asked.
"Nothing."
"Awesome, now get out."
Slam! The slamming of her door blew wind in my face, she kicked me out of her room. Honestly, for my younger sister, she sure acted like an older sister.
I moped into my room and flopped down on the bed. I cried, it felt good. Well, as good as crying can feel...

I opened my locker and a piece of cream colored paper floated out. I half expected it to be another snitch note, but it wasn't. It was a poem, it was the poem, for language arts, about someone you love.
Me without you is a nerd without braces, a shoe without laces, asentencewithoutspaces ~ <3
-Peter
I could feel the tears well up in my eyes. Although the comment about nerds and braces did sting, it ment a lot! Peter wrote a poem for me?
~~~
"Why are you so giddy?" Liberty asked when I sat down with her at lunch.
I roll my eyes, "No reason," I slip her the poem under the table. Seconds later Liberty is 'awwwww' ing and 'oooooooo' ing all over me. "Uh, personal space, Libby?"
"Oh, right sorry," She snorted. She digs in her book bag and pulls out her camera. "Can I take a picture?"
I nod and she smiles. A blinding flash goes off and she hands me my poem. "It's just as sweet as the poem you wrote for me!" She gushes.
"Libby, stop! You know I hate this girly, sentimantal crap. It drives me nuts," I say. She raises her eye brow and I punch her playfully. Good, ol' Libbs! It's good to have her back.
