Drew | 1 Week After Jessica's Death
We've continued moving South. I walk further ahead of the group, as they all talk, sometimes laughing with one another. But, even with every dumb joke Sean tells, I don't even smile. All I can think about is what I'll do from now on without Jess.
So, for now, I'm going to complete what we started. I'm going to make it South. I'm going to find out what's down there, I'm going to find a way to stop whoever from releasing the Infected among the world, and I'm doing this for Jess. That's our theory anyway.
Buddy walks alongside me. "We're gonna get there for Jess. Aren't we?" I mutter to him. He simply looks up at me and tilts his head slightly, before looking back ahead. He suddenly, stops and looks out at the forest, barking once, then twice, before holding a loud growl from the back of his throat. I instantly pull out my pistol and I aim. That is definitely a Horde considering the smell and the constant sound of groaning. The further South we've been getting the worse the Hordes have become. So far we've reached the I7's area. But, there's a huge possibility that this is actually a Horde of I8's by now.
Sure enough, it's a Horde of I8's. "It's another Horde!" I call to the others.
"I7's?" Sean calls back.
"I8's!" I respond quickly, taking a dagger in my other hand, and slicing the throat of the closest Infected. It doesn't die, but it collapses on the ground, where Buddy tears it up by the neck. Exactly how I wanted him to. After killing multiple of them quickly, the others have begun killing them with me. They're pretty quick, reaching forward and trying to grab us so they can finally have a meal after what could be many months. Even years.
"We should leave while we still can!" Amy yells, "There's too many!"
I nod, "I'll hold them off, you go!" I shout, disembowelling one of them. Buddy mauls many of their ankles so they collapse, just so the- now- fully-grown German Shepherd can tear apart their necks, and face. He's pretty useful, but sometimes I worry that some day he won't be quick enough.
"Drew-" Sean begins, Gabriella taking out an Infected nearby him.
"Just go, Sean! I'll be fine!" I reassure him.
He finally gets the girls to go with him and they leave, continuing further Southwards. I'll catch up to them.

Jessica
I'm woken up to Darren. "The rooms are being sterilised. Everyone is instructed to go to the Rec Room." He instructs me. I nod and he holds the door open for me, gesturing for me to go through. I step out the door, but I quickly turn back to him.
"About Drew," I begin. He looks down at the ground, before he stops me just as I'm about to continue.
"I faked my death and found this place on my own. I was selfish. I thought it was a good plan, so I could go back for them after. Although, I've found that once you get here, you can't leave. You can only die to get out of here." He sighs, "My son will hate me... If he ever got here in the first place anyway."
I shake my head, "He'll understand. I know he will." I reassure him.
"How would you know that?" He doesn't allow me to reply, only shutting the door. The door clicks three times, before I'm left in silence.
I stand for a few seconds, staring at the door, before I begin down the hallway. Thoughts run through my mind as quick as a rip. There has to be a way out. Perhaps, he hasn't tried hard enough. Sure, it's taken him over a decade, considering he's been away from Drew for so long, but there must be a way. No matter what it takes, I have to get out of here. Just like Jamie said, there's something wrong about this place. I'm just yet to experience it.
I walk past the computer room and down the next hallway, wondering what else is down this long hall, past the Rec Room.
I'm right by the cherry wood door when someone grabs me and pulls me around a corner. I stumble with them, grabbing their arm and twisting it, so they let go of me, they instantly grab me with the other arm and slam me back against the wall. I gasp, almost winded. "Listen to me," She says.
"Who the hell are you?" I exclaim.
She immediately holds a hand over my mouth, "Be. Quiet. They'll find me." She says, seemingly attempting to stay calm. My eyes wide, we both sit in silence for many seconds, before she finally takes her hand away. I swallow, not daring to speak too loud again.
"Who?" I ask her.
She glares at a small group of doctors walking past, both of us in the shadows of a broken light. "They know I know something about this place. I know their venomous lies, and horrid attempts at 'changing the world'. They're false. They lie." She rambles on.
"Wait, slow down. What are you talking about?" I ask her.
"I found out. They're going to kill me. Jill's going to kill me." She looks truly worried now. Completely changed from determined and strong, to weak and worried. There's an old lady's voice echoing down the hallway. She almost breaks into tears, a sense of urgency from her. "I have to go, before she finds me." She instantly whispers, before she let's go of me, allowing me to finally relax as she rushes away. Within an instant, she's gone.
I quickly step out into the hallway, glancing both ways. But, she's already disappeared from sight.
I stand there, stunned, in front of the cherry wood door.
Who's Jill?
