PARANOIA HAD SETTLED in deep inside his mind and heart; it wasn't something he could easily explain but every time he would leave the house, he would always look around, the feeling of someone watching him never leaving him – there were even times where he would do this at home too.

His nightmares had become even more frequent, the same awful dream would play over and over again. Adolfo Castello would appear out of nowhere, he would call him names, tell him how weak he is and then he would proceed to kill everyone he cared about.

He would wake up drenched in sweat, his breaths uneven and quick while his eyes would search the whole room for him. However, even after he would search the whole house and find nothing, he would still be scared. Not for who could be inside but for the possibility that he would find him and actually execute his nightmare.

That night wasn't any different.

Lorenzo felt his heart squeeze as he gasped for air, his eyes so wide that they would fall from their sockets. He quickly got up and ran to the bathroom to throw some water on his face, by then the idea of anyone being in his house was long gone. He knew that it was all just a dream but still, he was so afraid of what would happen if his father did find him.

He has been debating for a long time about this and he had no idea what to do. On the one hand, he felt like going home, back to Italy, would be the safest option. He has been gone for more than half a year and his family would probably start to get suspicious about his absence. He hadn't opened his Facebook account to talk to his brother for a few weeks now and he was afraid that if he would, he would cave and leave.

Something he just couldn't bring himself to do.

Because, on the other hand, he had grown attached to his life in San Francisco. To his new friendships and his girlfriend. He couldn't just pack his things and leave; he would break their hearts as much as he would break his. The thought of leaving Ryan, Amalia and Gia behind killed him and he didn't know what to do.

He was so conflicted, his head starting to ache from all those thoughts running through it. But the pain didn't just stay there, it could be found in his heart too. He loved being Adam Harrison, he loved being normal for once and oh God, did it feel so good.

But he also couldn't help but feel guilty about being him.

He was falling for a girl that didn't know of his true identity. Gia didn't know that there was no Adam Harrison, she didn't know that he was Lorenzo Castello, a mobster that didn't want to be just that. And he was scared that if she found that, she would leave him. She would be so freaking mad; she would barely look him in the eye as she would walk away from him and what could be their future.
