"Mythara?!" Brogan exclaimed.
Tanwyn bolted upright on all fours.
I thought I could sense some strange aura of power around her! she tactophrened Brogan.
"Yep! Mythara and proud to be one. Who's your Ewynne?" Ione asked, quickly easing into comfortable conversion.
Brogan walked over to Tanwyn and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "This is Tanwyn, she's a gryphon. What about your Ewynne?"
"Dyrmian!" Ione called, out loud. She glanced at Brogan and he faltered inwardly at her long eyelashes. "Dyrmian's also a gryphon."
They heard a thunderous beat of wings and the trees began to sway slightly. A rush of air blew the three back a couple of feet as a pure black gryphon landed with a crunch on a fallen log about ten feet away from them. Dyrmian was visibly larger than Tanwyn. Brogan had never seen any gryphon, or any other gryphon besides Tanwyn for that matter, that was so big. He was about four feet taller than Tanwyn and much more musculuar. His wings were huge, almost twice the size of Tanwyn's. His eyes were stranger green color, tinted with red.
With his link to Tanwyn's mind, Brogan could feel her shock and awe at the creature in front of him.
Ione ran over and threw her arms around Dyrmian's neck for a quick hug.
Greetings! said the gryphon.
"He says, 'Greetings'" Ione said, thinking that they had not heard Dyrmian.
"Wait a sec, I though you were only able to tactophren with immediate family!" Brogan exclaimed.
Yes...well, there is an exception though it is highly impossible that it happened... Tanwyn murmered.
"Hey! I can hear Tanwyn!" Ione gasped.
"And I can hear Dyrmian!" Brogan turned to Tanwyn. "Why couldn't she hear you before? What's this exception you're talking about?"
Um... well, it is rather hard, and for more experienced Mythara, but you can tactophren individual people without letting others hear the conversations. Ewynne, because as I suppose Ione knows, were created to protect their Mythara humans.
Uh...I had no clue they were created because of that...Ione tactophrened. But please continue.
Tanwyn blinked at Ione, her expression undreadable. Alright then, the exception. Yes, you can only tactophren with immediate family and, don't forget, your immediate family's Ewynnes. But you can also tactophren with those whom your parents have created a link for you to. So...your parents would've had to have been very close, for it is rare that we can tactophren with others.
"Do I know you from before?"
"Uh....well, you don't really look familiar...I mean, your eyes kind of do but..." Ione trailed off, embarrassed, as Brogan turned bright red.
He scuffed the ground. "If we don't even remember we were Mythara, then we must've been very young when we left. Therefore-"
"Your eyes are a really nice shade of green. Whatever, Brogan!" Ione laughed, producing a clear, melodious sound.
Brogan glanced at her quizzically, her clear, blue eyes momentarily stunning him. The long dark lashes gave a unique contrast between her bright colored iris.
Tanwyn cleared her throat, her bright eyes blinking lazily at him. We need to move on...
The two Mythara snapped back to attention.
