The Plan (SHINee: Taemin x Reader)

A/N: This is my first one-shot I've written for this book, so I really hope you like it! :)

Third Person's POV

You were heading out to spend the day with your five best friends, the members of SHINee. One of them, you have a huge crush on, and that is Lee Taemin. All of the boys knew this. Well everyone except for Taemin, who likes you too, and naturally, the boys knew this as well. Obviously, you had no idea.

Before you came over, Onew, Jonghyun, Key, and Minho devised a plan in private to make Taemin jealous to get him to confess. You had no idea, so you were in for surprise.

You walk up to their dorm and knock on the door. The door opened within two seconds of you knocking. And of course the person who opens the door is none other than Taemin.

"Hey, (Y/N)!", he said gleefully, a huge smile of his face.

"Hi, Taemin!", you say in reply, a light blush dusting your cheeks.

He was about to hug you when all of a sudden, you were bombarded by the rest of the boys, who stampeded at you.

"(Y/N), you're here!!!", they all yell, pushing Taemin away from you and squeezing you nearly to death in a group hug.

They proceeded to all talk to you at once, causing all of your attention to be shifted onto them. You didn't even notice Taemin pouting off to the side.

Amongst the commotion, Jonghyun picked you up bridal style and carried you inside. This action shocked you and your cheeks flushed bright red. Taemin, on the other hand, was a little upset that you were just taken away from him.

Everyone traveled to the living room and sat down on the couch. Jonghyun, still carrying you, set you down on his lap. You were slightly uncomfortable from this cause he's never done done that before. Eventually, you loosened up a little cause everyone started laughing and joking with you. Taemin quietly stayed off to the side.

After Jonghyun's had you for a while, you are then taken by Minho. He wraps his arm around you, discreetly ensuring that Taemin noticed. At this point, he was starting to get jealous.

What are they doing?! Don't they remember that I like (Y/N)?, he thought.

When Onew wrapped you a in a tight hug and nuzzled his face into your hair, he was just about steaming with anger. You were still clueless to what was going on, and wondering why Taemin was being so quiet.

~Time Skip~

You stayed there for a while, and Taemin still hasn't said anything to anyone, including you.

It was a bit disappointing considering you like him. But the other boys were still smothering you so there was never a chance to ask him.

Everything seemed to be going normally as always again, when suddenly, Key, who you are now sitting next to, leans forward slowly to kiss you. Well, he almost did.

This was Taemin's last straw.

"STOP!", he yelled, scaring everyone.

"I can't believe you almost did that!!", he exclaimed to Key.

Before anyone could say anything, Taemin took you by the hand and dragged you out of the room.

When he finally stops, he hugs you and doesn't let go.

"Are you alright Taemin?", you ask, concerned.

"No. They all almost took you away from me.", he said, a sad tone ringing in his voice.

Did he just say that?, you asked yourself.

"(Y/N),", he starts, "I've wanted to tell you for a while that, I really like you. It's okay if you don't like me back though. I understand if you like one of the other boys. I was jealous when they were all over you like that, so I had to say something."

You smile and surprise him by kissing his lips.

"Taemin, I like you too.", you say, wrapping your arms around his body.

He lights up and hugs you back.

"(Y/N), will you be my girlfriend?", he asks.

"Yes, of course I will.", you answer happily.

Taemin leans in and gives you a kiss, which is soon cut off.

"YES IT WORKED, THEY'RE TOGETHER", the boys shout from the next room. They all high-five each other in celebration.

"You guys planned this?!", Taemin yelled.

"Yup!", they say collectively, innocently grinning.

You both sigh and laugh. It had been one long day, but it was worth it in the end.
