I'm Sorry (SHINee: Onew x Reader)

Third Person's POV

Today is your 3 year anniversary with your boyfriend, Lee Jinki, otherwise
known as Onew, leader of the k-pop group SHINee. You've been so excited all day to see him.

Right now, you're waiting for Jinki to get back to the house that you two shared. You baked him a cake and finished cooking chicken, his favorite food, for dinner.

The click of the door unlocking rings through the empty house. You smile as Jinki walks into the house.

"Hey jagi!", he exclaims when he sees you.

"Welcome home oppa.", you say with a smile.

He wraps his arms around you and rests his head on your shoulder.

"You're making my favorite food?", he asks looking around the kitchen.

"Ne.", you reply happily.

"What's the occasion?", Jinki proceeds to ask.

You pause for a second.

"What do you mean?", you question, thinking that maybe he might not mean that for real.

"I mean, what are you doing this for?", he asks again.

"Are you serious?"

You start to get angry at this point.

"Ne.", he says, clearly not kidding.

"Have you forgotten what today is?", you say, raising your voice a bit.

He gives you a clueless expression.

"And that is....?"

"Our anniversary you jerk!!! I can't believe you didn't remember!!", you yell, pushing him off of you.

Jinki stares at you in shock. You've never yelled at him like this before.

Tears begin to escape your eyes. Before he can do anything, you run into your bedroom that you share with him and lock the door. You lay down in your bed and sob.

The sound of Jinki running gets closer. He pounds on the door.

"(Y/N)! Open the door!!", he screams.

"Aniyo! I've had it! You always forget things like this!", you yell.

It was true. He had forgotten your 1 year anniversary, as well as your 2 year anniversary before this. (A/N: I'm pretty sure Onew wouldn't do that! It's part of the story so shhhh....) You had forgiven him previously because you love him and you know that he's constantly busy.

"I'm sorry!"

"Sorry's not gonna cut it this time Jinki!"

You continue to sob on your bed as Onew tries to open the door.

"Jagi, please open the door!", he begs.

You don't respond though. He sighs dejectedly and leaves you alone.

~Time Skip~

It's late at night now and you've finally stopped crying. Of course, now you're hungry. Sneaking to the kitchen was the only option right now.

You slowly twist the doorknob of your door and swing it open carefully, as to not make any loud noises.

To your surprise, there was a plate of plastic-wrapped food set outside of your bedroom door.

There was a note on it.

I'm sorry for forgetting about our anniversary again, I'm a terrible boyfriend. I understand why you're mad at me. When you wake up tomorrow, please come downstairs and talk to me. I want to see you. And I appreciate that you made me food, so I made you some since you're probably hungry by now. Saranghae jagi. <3

You read Jinki's note and smiled a little. You were glad that he thought about you. You decided to rest and talk to him tomorrow.

Snuggling into the covers, you drift off slowly.

~Time Skip~

Morning rolls around and you rise from bed. You get dressed and run downstairs.

When you get there, you see Jinki with a bouquet of roses.

"Here you go jagi.", he says smiling and extending out the flowers.

Once you take them, he throws his arms around you.

"What's all this for?", you ask.

"Well, I'm trying right now to make up for all three of our anniversaries, so I'm starting off by giving you flowers.", Jinki explains. "I really am sorry, jagi."

"It's alright, oppa. I know that you have a hectic schedule to attend to.", you assure him.

"Aniyo, I shouldn't have forgotten when you're the most important person in my life.", he insists.

With that, he wraps you in his arms and seals your lips in a kiss.
