I mean when you've only known a dark dead shell of a garden for 6000 years straight, you're bound to either not want to leave or hate it all together. And in this case Spinel's gotten a slight fear and dislike of the dark and silence because of it, she hates being reminded of all the time being there, waiting in silence with little light.
She's sometimes scared she'll have a nightmare about it when she gets ready to sleep, sometimes not sleeping at all, sitting while wrapping herself in her limbs for comfort through the night. She'll go to Steven's room a lot to sleep, though Steven's gotten her a little inflatable mattress in his room, she still curls up in his bed most of the time.

Steven decided to get a night light for his room to maybe help a little with her fear of the dark, and it's helped a lot, she's now usually able to sleep in her bed, but she does occasionally crawl into his bed if she's upset about a nightmare or if she doesn't want to sleep in her bed.
Steven doesn't mind her getting into his bed, but it is a little difficult getting up in the morning when you've got a gem latched onto to you asleep. Spinel doesn't have too much of a problem at night with silence, but she sometimes does freak out, usually waking Steven up as a sniveling mess in the dark.

Spinel's quite embarrassed about her problem with these fears though Steven and the others assure her there's nothing wrong with having them, as they have their own sets of fears as well, which did make her feel a little better about her own fears.

She never goes to sleep without a stuffed toy with her to keep company when she sleeps in her bed.

(I would draw but I'm not feeling it right now lol, I might update this if I do though. Oh and not every chapter will have a drawing as that would take forever, or at least they won't have one at first. You can always check back and see if I've added one though)
