Genesis and Eddie are sound asleep as well.
"He's gonna be one heck of a Red Hooder" dad smirks.
"He is" I smirk as well.

"I can't wait! Two more years and I'll be a Red Hooder!" Gunner smiles widely.
"You're doing really good already, you're gonna have no problem on your first day on the team" I pat his back.
"Yeah" he laughs and walks into the store, bumping right into a little girl. "Oh! I'm so sorry!!" Gunner helps her up.
"It's fine" she dusts herself off.
"What are you doing all alone?" I tilt my head, looking around her.
"I lost my dad and I-I don't know where he is..." she trails off "I've been looking for like five minutes" she sighs.
"I can help!!" Gunner takes her hand and looks at me.
I smile and lead them around.
"I'm Lily!" the little girl smiles.
"Gunner! I'm thirteen, you?" Gunner asks with a toothy smile.
"I'm ten..." she trails off.
"Still cool! We can still be friends! I don't really have any because I'm an Archer..." Gunner frowns.
"I'd love to be your friend! We should have our dads talk!" Lily smiles widely.
"Yeah!! Dad?" Gunner looks at me.
I laugh and nod. "Yeah, I'll talk to her dad"
"There he is!!" Lily points and runs to her dad who stands a little short than me. "Dad! Meet my new friend, Gunner!"
Gunner waves. "Hi!"
I put my hand on my tall son's back.
"Can we hangout?" Lily looks up at her father.
"No way! He's an Archer. You know what Archers do? KILL! He is way too dangerous for you!" the man picks up Lily and storms off.
Gunner grows furious. "DID YOU HEAR THAT?! HE-"
"Gunner, stop. It happens. It always will" I sigh.
"Yeah! Because I have to be related to an Archer!" he stomps off.
Gunner's thirteen now and has this thing he's going through.
He can be completely calm and nice, and when he doesn't get his way or when something happens, he grows furious.
Like anger issues.
And it's best to leave him alone at those times. And when he doesn't talk to Eddie, that means he's really pissed. Eddie is his best friend, they always vent to each other and are always together.
Besides today, Eddie had football practice and Gunner really wanted to shot and attack targets.
But I'm snapped out of my thoughts by my phone going off.

Dad walks up to me, slamming a note into my chest. "Read it"

"A huge reason we need to retire the team" Nick says.
"He's not wrong" Oliver looks down.
"Dad... are we?" I look at my father.
He sighs. "I don't know, buddy. I'm going to try to figure things out with your grandpa and others. I just want everyone off limits to weapons right now. They're watching"

"What's wrong?" Callie sits next to me and holds my hand.
"We got a note. Over two thousand men have teamed up to kill us if we don't end the team, and, common sense, only for of us now can't take them down" I look at her.
"We got it!" Eddie and Gunner run in.
"Yeah!" Genesis stands up.
"You guys are crazy" Layla giggles.
I grab my little girl and she hugs me.
"Yeah, they are" I say.
"What? Since when do you doubt us?!" Gunner drops his jaw.
I go to speak, but Callie takes over for me. "Loves, your father isn't doubting you. Even then, seven people can not overtake two thousand"
"And hundred of dogs" I sigh.
Lily pulls back and frowns. "Are you ending the team?"
"I- we don't know, baby. Unless there's a miracle, it's leading to that" I clench my jaw.
"But it makes you so happy!!" she sits next to me and rests her hand on my arm.
"I know" I sigh and rub her back.
"It's not like your world's ending, bubba. You're still an Archer" Callie kisses my cheek.
I turn to her. "Yeah, but, my whole life I've grown up around... killing. And Gunner, Eddie, and Genesis wanna be a Red Hooder. That's what every newborn Archer is destined to do"
"Get some rest. You'll know more tomorrow" Callie says softly and helps me up. "We love you" she hugs me.
Then everyone joins in on the hug.
"I love you guys" I kiss each of their heads.
"And we're gonna get through it" Callie passionately kisses me.
